Usernames
 

Alright, this is just a question, and feel free to laugh if I'm being stupid, but someone told me that certain admins/mods can actually change a persons username, without them loosing their Post Count or anything. Is this true? Because I want to change my SN to something less complicated. I registered a new account, but didn't want to be banned for IP fraud things, so before I really started using the new accout, I figured I better ask,

I was just wondering... we used to be able to pick up to three usernames and switch between em... that's not around anymore, right? I am fine with this one, but I was just curious why they got rid of that. Too confusing?

When we switched software to vBulletin the option wasn't available anymore.

I remember reading how the old FF, you were able to chnage usernames. Too bad you cant anymore. But i suppose with all the more members joining, theres gonna be a lot of usernames, and if everyone has 3, it all adds up. :look:

What's the correct way to ask for a username change? Do you PM one of the Adminstrators, or what? I was just wondering about the correct process.

You'd need to talk to Johnnie or Sabrina. Include the reason why you'd like your name changed, and what you'd like it changed to and they'll take it into consideration. Names aren't normally changed unless there is a compelling reason because it involves a bit of work to change the account.

Yes, it's possible but usually we just ban the account because we've had people change their minds. PM a manager for further details.

So would it be unlikely I could get my name changed if I just don't like it anymore? Or should I just talk to Johnnie or Sabrina when I can?

Yes, just talk to one of them. Sabrina is away right now so you should probably PM Johnnie and he'll discuss it with you :)
