Have we considered having something similar to the way lj uses tagging to find posts? Maybe have tags like "Character discussion", "off-topic" "help/intro threads", "Game threads" where when clicked on, it shows the relevant threads that have been tagged. Like a sorting option outside of just by thread starter and thread name. Just to keep track of old and current thread of the same. That is something the Board guides don't do. Is it possible to consider with the current software?

Similar to the way our lj community Fanforumers have tags on the bottom right to keep track of posts.

I don't like LJ. I hope that FF stays how it is.

Subscribing to threads is just fine, because in your user CP you can create folders and separate threads that way.

I don't mean convert to lj, I just mean adopt something similar to their way of sorting threads

And to clarify what I mean, I didn't mean in your user CP, I mean on each board, somewhere you can click like "guide/help" and all the threads relating to that will come up, even from the past.

I think I understand what you mean Jessie. I've seen the tag feature on a message board, they were added when starting a thread. From within the thread you could click on the tags to find other similiar threads. I'd think that would be something that would use the search feature though.

that's a good idea. Some threads keep a list of previous threads in the OP and it's helpful if you want a quick way to go back to read something from the past, so this could be a handy tool to have

^^ I just wish that every new thread had a list of it's previous threads in the OP. That could be just as helpful for the time being. Unless something new is implemented!

I was just wondering if we could have more fonts? Or is that not possible?

We have several fonts now, I'm not sure if there's even an option to add more. Was there a particular font you wanted?

That's up to the person that starts the new thread. Many threads do have links to previous ones, but over time it can get rather overwhelming.

^^ I've noticed that, especially when a thread goes fast. A lot of shipper threads on the Twilight board go through like 4 threads a day sometimes, so keeping up is hard!

With fonts - I believe that if people don't have a font on their computer, it changes for them to a really common font like Arial, Verdana or Times New Roman. That's probably why only a limited amount of font are available here, to make sure that the majority can view them.

I could be wrong.

Good point. Also, we want to keep the boards fairly clean and easy to read.

I don't think posters use fonts that often really though and it could make some OP's look much more unique and decorated.. You know like 'Broadway' or 'Palace'.

I agree that we keep it easy to read though too..
