Bec, I did explain in my post with my solar eclipse photos that I didn't look at the Sun. I just pointed the camera in that direction and hoped for the best. I cropped them as they were sometimes on the edge of the frame.

Still trying to figure out how to link my photography. I have a semi-public album on my RL (as opposed to the internet one) Facebook account, but I don't really want to link that to the forums.

I can't post the photos directly either, since the image sizes are bigger than the screen size (of any sort) and it'd mess up the layout of the thread.

Collins is right. You can try to upload them in another photo hosting site where there are options to re-size the picture to board size.

I loved it way more than I expected! It's such a lovely city and I really want to go back there! Everything is SO big, though Nothing like most cities in Europe, but for what I saw, that's true for most things in the US, I always thought that was just some prejudice
We only had 1 day, so we circled the Mall, and then went to Georgetown on foot, because some of my study mates (we went to the US on a study trip last year) really wanted to do some shopping

We were just downtown by the Mall to see the monuments near there, and did the Smithsonian Air & Space & Natural History museums.
