Hehe read the banner for the first time xD I want a beer!

How is everyone?

Sandro Congratulations on graduating!

Jessie You're right, but really, I've had it with school The fact that I've still a year to go is depressing (Specialy with my grades right now which will still count next year...)
Had I already ask what you do in the lab? (otherwise I'm asking it now ) Something with DNA I suppose, but yeah, you never know

Libra (so sorry don't remember your name, if I knew it anyway xD) that line-up sounds great! Hope you have a great time! (But I bet you do )

Sandy and Jessie- thanks forasking! My trip went really well First we came by ship from Helsinki (that's where i live) to Travemünde, Germany, and drove through Holland and Belgium to Düsseldorf, Germany, where was my cousin's graduation from High School. We were there for a fev days and then drove through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia to Tallinn, Estonia. We were there for an extra night since we couldn't get ship tickets back to Helsinki. It was cool overall

How is everyone doing?

I'm Kate for those who don't know me yet! Nice to meet you!

Kate - wow! You travelled through a lot of countries. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Sandy - did you attend a similar music festival last year?

Sneeuwvlok - I remember that you're Dutch, but I don't remember your name. Sorry.

I actually loved Holland Everything was so pretty, and i was supposed to meet Val (speak slow) but she was sick so she couldn't make it (

Chris- yep we did, but the distances in central europe aren't that super long, so it was only fun The only part i didn't like very much was when we drove from Berlin to Kaunas, Lithuania, and it took over 13 hours

I´ve been in Holland as well only 2 days though it was one of those 7 days trip where you only spend some days in each place.

I took of from Porto, stayed in Luxemburg one day (not much to see honestly), then Buxelas after that 1 day in Berlin another 2 days in Amsterdam and the last 2 days in Paris.

This kind of trips can be exausting but is still good to know different places and custures.
Was planning on going to spend 1 week in London with some friends of mine this year but I don´t know if we are going all the way with the idea it´s tough to book these trips because now that almost everyone of us finished our courses everyone has different vacation time, some are in the beggining of September some in August, others in July :S

True, I tend to forget that. I could drive that long and not get out of Ontario if I headed in the right direction. There wasn't nice scenery in that part of the drive?

I've done one of those too. Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris in a week. As you say, you don't get to see a lot, but it's better than not seeing it at all. At least I think so.

Lisanne - have you travelled?

Keep your head up. Work hard this year and you can relax when you get out.

I do work with DNA a lot. We do workshops, we do kits and we run out labs for the other labs around because we grow HeLa cells, which are great for research. And a lot more. Right now there is something going on in our lab called the Summer genetics Institute where nurses from over the world come to our lab and get hands on instruction in the lab. It is quite fun, I get to meant a lot of new people.

Congrats to your cousin! You are soooo lucky to to have gotten to travel all those places in such short time, I will always be envious when the posters from around the world post about their travels. Their daily routine sounds so exotic to me.
