Mine wasn't covered by Applecare, and I wasn't ready to fork over heaps for their "assistance"

, plus I backed up about 95% of what was on there so it wasn't too dramatic. I would definitely go to Apple/use Applecare for any other mac I choose to get in the future though, those things cost an arm and a leg, why wouldn't ya really!

I didn't have applecare either but they still did it for free.

I think you only have to pay if you need a replacement part or they have to take it away to do a fix.

I should say, I'm also a tad lazy and prefer to google rather than haul my equipment to a store.

I wonder why FF doesn't have a mac thread, I love me some Apple!

So I have these folders on my portable titled

Apparently, they're for Microsoft .net Framework, and I have never seen them before, nor have the slightest inclination how they got there. Since they're on my portable, it would seem that they are not running anything. Can I delete them?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I *think* so. To be safe back them up and then delete them. If nothing blows up delete the backups.

Those are most likely backup folders or temp folders from a recent Windows Update of the .Net Framework.

I got another problem now...

I got a little X at the bottom right saying 'Warning you have exceeded your profile space of...'

I've never had that before, and I don't really understand it. I have over half of my hard drive free, and I haven't added anything else...

Any ideas?

Srsly, I've had so many computer problems in the past month, that I just might ~~chuck it out the window~~ wipe it and start all over again...
