Dear Admins,

I'm curious if by popular demand, archived forums are ever re-opened, and if that is possible, how do go about requesting that? Thank you for any information on that. Thank you!

Its the same process as any request and yes boards have been re-opened where I've brought 3 different topics back before -- in my case 2nd boards were created cause the originals had closed too long ago

Another example is Smallville which is on its 2nd lease of life it had closed for a short period before it won the request "new forums poll" and was reactivated

Okay, so in order for the whole forum to come back, I (or someone) would have to first request and win three topics within that forum to come back online first?

For example, if I want to bring back the White Collar forum, I wouldn't submit a request here for "White Collar", I would submit a request for example "Mr. and Mrs. Suit #11 - "Elizabeth is one in a million" - Peter" as the first of three necessary threads that need to get back online before the entire forum is back online? I definitely want to make sure I understand the process before the 28th! Thank you for the assistance.

No you would submit White Collar on the Request board would first have to make sure there is an active campaign thread which you can learn about the rules in that thread you linked too related to how its the first option of your question

There doesn't seem to be a campaign thread so first business for you is to open a thread to campaign for a board for it

A campaign thread for White Collar needs to be re-started or opened again in order for it to be submitted for the polls. The White Collar campaign thread has been inactive since 2011 so best to start a new campaign thread for it so you can get new members who can join you to keep the thread active. Remember, a campaign thread needs to be active for it to be included in the polls.

Any submitted request must have an active campaign thread on the Requests board. If a campaign thread goes for more than 7 days (168 Hours) without a post, it's not considered to be an active campaign thread. You are allowed to double post to prevent the campaign from exceeding this time frame.
