I'm not sure what kind of error message they'd get if they ever tried to PM you. Otherwise, who you have on ignore is only viewable to you.

I think they just won't have the option to PM that person, the link won't be there in the person's profile. But that might depend on the board's settings.

Do really old campaign threads get deleted? I've been searching for the Britney Spears one forever but I couldn't find anything. Maybe she never had one?

I don't think that Britney ever had one - her board was added before we had the requests system I believe.

ETA: Yup it was added in 2001 before the requests system.

Oh ok. The threads on the last couple pages of the board are from 2004, that's why I thought she had one.

Older threads used to be purged in the old days... probably because of server space, but we don't need to do that anymore. Plus there was a crash or something in 2004 and a lot of threads were lost. That's why it only goes back that far.

I was wondering how would I go about possibly being on the moderator support team? I understand that you probably need to be a moderator but is there a certain amount of board you have to moderate to be on the support team?

Yes you do have to be a moderator first I'm afraid. People with 2 or less boards are preferred and that you have been a Moderator for more than 6 months.

I have what I think is a strange problem but there may be a simple answer.

Since the '10 Things I Hate About You' forum opened (September 1), I am automatically subscribed to every single thread in the forum and they appear in a huge list in the user CP Subscribed Threads window. (Note: I am NOT subscribed to the forum itself.) I can go through and unsubscribe from all the threads, but when a new one opens (like a next number, or just a new thread) it shows up in my subscriptions again. I hope this makes sense. How can I get this to stop?

(Previous to the 10 Things board opening, I was subscribed to 2 threads, the 10Things spoiler thread and a couple thread for 10 Things. I never had a problem.)

ETA: So now that I posted this, I am subscribed to this thread. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I don't understand the purpose of subscriptions? Are you automatically subscribed to every thread you post in? If not, is there some option I checked by accident (and can't find now!) that would do this?

Go to your UserCP and click the Edit Options section on the left. Then go to Default Thread Subscription Mode, near the middle. Make sure it"s at Do No Subscribe and then save.
