I have a question concerning the Thread/Board subscription or more importantly the email notifications, which go along with that:

I decided to let myself be informed by mail, if there are posts made in specific Thread/Boards. I selected 'Instant email notification'. Just for fun I went back to the Thread, even though I never got a mail, that new posts were made and there were suddenly new posts. When I reply to the Thread the 'Notification Type' is on 'Instant email notification' aswell.
That already happened a few times in a row. Did I overlook some other option I needed to set?
I already checked the mail address and spam folder, but nothing is there. The mail normally works just fine, since I also get mails about PMs.

Would be great if someone could give me a hint about what to do.

I have a question regarding images. Is it possible to set an image height and width using bb code? i was hoping I won't have to resize and rer-upload pics whenever I want to post them

It's been said before that the feature was disabled because it would need to send way too many emails per day.

If you use a site like imageshack or imagevenue, they both offer links to thumbnails version of the pictures. So no need to resize them, you can use that link on the board which leads to the bigger version when you click on them.

While the email notifications don't work for thread subscriptions, you should see in your User CP that there's been activity on the thread.

You can even set in control panel to automatically subscribe you to threads that you've posted on.

You need to have 101 posts before you can upload an avatar. It may seem like a big number, but once you get into posting you'll have it in no time!
