Oh, you need a bunch of posts to vote, and then to get an avatar...I have a feeling then that I won't be able to do either until months from now then. Eh.

It can seem that way when you've just started. Once you find the boards that appeal to you, people usually find that it goes quickly. You could come join us on the Café thread.

I've been posting pictures onto the forums, from my new Photobucket account, and I have a couple of questions. Firstly, I'd like to know if it's alright to post pictures I've scanned from magazines, and if it is, what do I put for the credit (as I always credit where the pics are taken from)? Secondly, regarding the pictures I already have in my account, which are mainly from fan sites, please could you let me know if it's OK to crop a picture, and then post it (as some of the pics I have are taken at a distance), and if I should mention that it's cropped in my credit?

If you scan them, you don't need to credit, perhaps a short magazine name will do just fine. And as for the cropping, that is perfectly fine (for avies we crop all the time ). But you are absolutely right, you need to credit where you got the picture if you didn't take it.

As Jessie said, brief mention of the magazine you scanned the pictures from would be sufficient. It's admirable that you're being so diligent about crediting your sources fluffybunny.

Hey guys. I have a question. Every time I post a new thread, I ALWAYS manage to mess the title up. It'll be right when I first post it and it'll go good for a while, and then BAM! The title gets cut off. It's really frustrating me. I'm so hesitant to post new threads now because I've had to PM the mod 9827594543(not really but you know what I mean hehe) times to fix it for me. Do you guys know whats up? I've noticed that before the title gets messed up, this happens: http://i41.tinypic.com/2itd3c.png It lets me mess with the title when this happens. But then again, sometimes that DOESN'T happen and the title STILL gets cut off. Can you guys help me?

The thread starter can edit the thread title by double-clicking on it on the main page of the board. So you've probably done that without noticing it. I've noticed that nowadays titles tend to get cut off if you edit them like that, I guess there's less space for them or something? So you just need to be careful to not do that.

Yeah, I kinda figured It really drives me insane though. Like sometimes, I'll be REALLY careful not to click anything... and it still happens! Is there any other way to prevent it from happening?

Thank you btw

Well, I know that regulars posters can't edit titles anymore after a certain amount of time, though I'm not sure how much time exactly. You should be able to edit the title inside the thread, by editing the opening post (use the 'go advanced' option). That usually allows you to insert longer titles.

You're welcome.

honeyitsyoursx3 - I prefer to edit titles by editing the post, I think you have to click on advanced after you click on edit. Members can edit the titles of threads they've started for up to 2 weeks.
