some one mentioned to me that you have the ability to sort a boards "main page" alphabetically by title.....

i don't get how to do it???? i'm looking for all previous threads of a particular type

Hey Betty!

Directly above the topped threads on each board there are two links that say "Thread / Thread Starter". If you click "Thread", FF will sort the threads in that board by alphabetical titles. If you click "Thread Starter", threads will be sort by username.

VampireOutlaw, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

What I WAS trying to do is use that Seacrh this forum option on the bottom of a board. I'd very much appreciate if it worked for me, there's no way in Hell I'm going to go through hundreds of pages randomly in searc for a specific topic...

It doesn't work for anyone besides admin and mods. So yeah you'll have to search manually

Sorry for the tone but why the hell won't you allow us to use it? I'm pretty sure taht might eat up all my interest in coming around as time passes... seriously on as huge forum as this, that search option is, like, must have.

Sorry, but with the size of our database searching puts a real strain on the servers. At many boards, the mods maintain a thread index or you can try using Google to search for threads/posts, adding site:fanforum.com to your search: site:fanforum.com - Google Search That way you only get search results from FF.

As to an avatar, you need 101 posts before that option will become available to you.

I've just tried to post a new thread on the Jared Padalecki forum, but it's saying my title is too short. I had no problem earlier posting a thread. The one I want goes 'JPad's Body Appr. #12: Because his body is so perfect, it's like he's been sculpted.' If it's possible, please could you add it for me, as I'm in a fix now, and I have to log off at 11pm (UK time). I'd much appreciate it. Thank you so much.

The title is too short or the post is too short? If you're quoting the previous opening post, be sure you've removed the quote tags.

I've just removed the quote tags, and it's worked. I'm sorry, I did try lots of things, except that. I'll know what to do next time.
