Hi! I have a question. I wanted to look at my previous posts, from when I first joined, and it said I don't have proper privileges to view them. Am I doing something wrong?

The search option is switched off, probably because that option would slow down the server.

Yes that's true you can, however, search the site through Google by typing in site:fanforum.com and then whatever you want to search for. So in LG Stargirl's case - you could type in your username and most if not all of your posts will probably come up

Hi,
I'm a bit worried, as I've accidentally posted right after myself two or three times in all, due to my computer sometimes being so slow that I didn't realise the message had already been posted. I did it today, and couldn't delete the whole message, so I just had to apologise in the second message. Please could you let me know if I can delete the message myself?
Thanks.

Hi!

Please don't be worried. If it was an accident, when the mod notices, he/she will delete the double posts, no harm done. Something you can do if you want is private message the moderator and inform them of your double posts and ask that they remove them.

Hello!

I have one question. Why can't i access the request board at all?

It says:

Quote:
Ssamaltha, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
any idea why?

I assume you're talking about the Fiesta add, right? Apparently only Germans have to deal with it. It's really annoying though, I hope it goes away soon cause there's no way I can mute my pc all the time.

EDIT: Never mind, it looks like the problems solved itself and I can access both boards again

Forgive me if I sound like an insane person...but I'm going to try to word this the best I can.

Ok to link to a thread you usually use the [url] code and then put in whatever you want to name the link, or you can just paste the link and it will show up as the whole thread title...is there a way to do the [url]code but not use the whole link? like to shorten it?

For example I want to add http://www.fanforum.com/f50/misha-collins-campaign-thread-rally-up-troops-misha-s-army-has-work-do-62858876/ to my sig, but the title of that thread is long, and i don't have the characters left in my sig, to add it, unless I can shorten it, and it's even worse when I do the [url] code because it's even more letters. So what I'm asking is there a way to cut out the title of the thread, but still have it go to that thread? (that made sense right? ) ...and yes I could take something out of my sig to add it, but i don't want to.

You aren't an insane person.

I don't think there is a way to shorten a link, or the browsers can not send you to the appropriate place. Something you can try is to just link to the first post instead of the whole thread, which is significantly shorter. It'll take you to the opening post, and you can just click the full link on the top of that page, or reply with quote to get to the full thread.

To get the link to a single post, you simply click the number that appears on the top right of the post box.
