At the end of the month when the post counts are being compiled you'll notice some slowness, also anytime our System Manager is doing behind the scenes maintenance. I'm not aware of any specific problems though. Thanks for making us aware of your concerns.

Great, happy to hear that!
Yeah, sometimes it's a bit slower, but today was dramatic __________________

Random question. What year was this entire forum created/how long has the forum been around?

I have lots of questions, so I hope that it doesn't annoy you guys too much.
Okay, so my latest question is this: Can I subscribe to a board without having to subscribe to all the threads in that board that I want to keep track of? For instance, I have a ton of threads I post in on the QAF board, but I don't want to have to subscribe to every single thread because it makes scrolling through my subscriptions long and a pain in the rear. So if I subscribe to a board, will it tell me every topic that's been updated/replied to? __________________

You have the option to subscribe to individual threads within a board. You don't need to subscribe to the entire board. To subscribe to a single thread, click on the thread you would like to subscribe to and then click on "Thread Tools". You will get a drop-down menu with the last option being "Subscribe to this Thread". Let us know if that doesn't answer your question!

Thank you for your reply, but I don't wish to do that. I was previously subscribed to a ton of threads in that board.
I don't want to have a lot of threads in my subscriptions. So my question is if I subscribe to the board, will I still get notices from the thread's I'm active in? __________________

Sorry, I thought you meant you didn't want to subscribe to all the threads on a board, which subscribing to the board does that essentially. But you meant physically subscribing to each thread individually as something you didn't want to do. You will receive a notification about all new posts, yes, similar to subscribing to a thread. Of course that depends on the notification type you set it to.

For example, I subscribed to the QAF board, and unsubbed to each single thread. I checked the box to get an e-mail.
Does that mean I'll get one each time someone posts on the board? Even for threads I'm not active in? __________________

Yes, because you have subscribed to the board so you will get notifications on every post made - even if it is a thread you are not active in. Just like if you subscribed to a thread you have not ever posted it, simply subscribing to it is telling the system you would like to be notified on every new post there.

If you subscribe to a board, it will show up in your user CP like the individual threads do. You'll just see the thread that has the last post on the board, you will not see anything about individual threads. As far as I know the email update feature is disabled for everything but PM's.

Oh, I wasn't aware that emails have been disabled, since I remember getting emails in the past from Fan Forum for my subscribed threads/boards. But it has been a while ago since I've set threads/boards to notify me by email. Now I am here everyday so don't need the email reminders anymore. Listen to Chris, she knows best. But yeah, on User CP it lists the latest thread posted in like for subscribed threads it lists the latest post posted.
