Norway - seems the cheapest way is to fly into Frankfurt and take the train from there. BTW, is the prize quoted for a single room?

You are male, right? If so, then yes you'll either end up in a single or double room.

Another possibility would be DUS airport. Maybe that's even cheaper?

I'd try to fly to airports closer than that, too. Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, etc. Plus there are lots of cheap airline connections from smaller airports that are closer tahn Berlin is.

I'm still mulling it over.

ANdie, I am coming by car as well! 35 minute ride for me just so I am able to pic some people up from the station or the airport as well... so andie if you wanna organise something like that than I am on it and I as well can drive to COlogne and pick people up there

ETA: if someone comes to Frankfurt (Hahn) and is afraid of how to get they can drive to Koblenz by bus and I's pick them up there as well anything I can do to help

I guess a plane from Berlin to Cologne/Bonn is the cheapest way to go, unless you buy your train ticket months in advance! I'll check the connection for you.

There are a lot of daily flights between Bonn and Berlin because there are still some governmental institutions left in Bonn, so people commute between those towns all the time.
