I'm so angry cause I came into my job today set to do my work on processing books this morning for my one day a week location and found out my co-worker did my job and processed my books!! Like she basically did my job in my job description saying since I'm here one day a week, she should do my work! But I told her, I'm not a teacher and your a teacher librarian so I can't do your job, please don't do mine! Like why I am here if she won't really do her job, but does MINE so when I come in, I suddenly have no job to do!!

I have to print out our job descriptions so she doesn't intermix on my work. She already doesn't really do much of her own job as a teacher, she doesn't really teach during her preps, but will take time to process my new books for me!!

So mad!! This is a work vent cause I feel like in anger.

As usual, I feel guilty for venting about it. that was a total Aspie brain melt cause I had printed spine labels and intended and planned to finish my job, only to find out the books were gone out, she even catalogued and put some books out that weren’t supposed to go out and some hardcover covers weren’t even laminated. And when I expect to do something for the day, I can’t deal when suddenly I can’t do what I planned! So then I

Anyway, she read our different job descriptions and saw mine was specific to what she did and promised she won’t ever do that again!

Good news, I applied for a new position at a different location that could replace where I work on Mondays, I hope I can get it for Mondays next year.

Now to go hide from the embarrassment of my spaz.

Don't be embarrassed. This is a safe forum to vent when you need to. I'm glad you chatted with her and looked at your descriptions and feel better knowing she knows what her role is vs your role.

thanks, yeah, I just want to be cheerful and have fun on for the most part! That frustration was just hard to contain!

Yeah I’m glad, I’m curious what her job description actually says compared to mine, so i need to find a copy.

Well, I applied last minute and the posting closes tomorrow so I’m hoping they include mine, and then they have to call me and then I’ll go over and meet with the principal and the principal will be one of the ones I already work with next year and I have 10 years seniority so after an “interview”, they will let me know if I have it!

If not, I don’t really hide a problem staying where I am, it’s just it would be nice to have a change after working there for 7 years or so.
