We use Celsius over here so if anyone uses Farenheit, I have to always convert it because I get confused.

I'm leaving early for my out of town trip next week, 6 AM. It's gonna be about 3-4 hours of driving up North but it'll be worth it. Beach and pool for me again. That's the only good thing to do here every summer because the rest of the year, it's wet & dreary. Blech.

It's really just the US, and we don't know anything celsius. Have an amazing trip!

Yeah, only the U.S.? I thought Canada uses Farenheit too.

Also we don't say "the house is two blocks away from here". It's confusing. We use kilometers than miles so we'd say "[#] of kilometers away" from here. And the speedometer of our cars uses KPH not MPH. But we drive on the right side of the road. Which is odd as most countries in Asia drive on the left side of the road.

Lol it is just the US that uses miles too. I can figure out some kilometers without Google because of running a 5K. That’s about it though.

We definitely use blocks in descriptions of how far things, but a block isn’t a true measurement.

That’s interesting, Lindsay, that you drive on the right side of the road vs how people in most Asian countries drive.

I grew up with Farenheit. We switched to celsius in the mid 80's. Our speedometers have KPH a bit bigger, and MPH marked a bit smaller.

Also we changed from pounds to kilograms. Grocery stores still advertise in price per pound, then charge by the kilogram. It makes no sense to me.

Lizzy For in town measurements, I'd use blocks. For out of town, the time takes to get there. Although agree that blocks aren't always a standard size.

Sarah - not quite that warm here. The high today is supposed to get to 10C/50F, but then back to around the freezing point the next few days.

Same when I go to the doctors kilogram for weight however do get it switched to see what I weight in pounds

Chris - supposedly was meant for around 17C but we shall see. Think we are going to drop back to single degrees but more middle not quite freezing. I think

weights totally throw me off. When buying meat, I tend to judge by the size.
