You know you've had a tiring day when you get home, have dinner, and take a nap until 9 PM. I even left work early today - around 4:30, which is rare. Happy Wednesday all!

That's great Amy! I taught preschoolers last year (with special needs). They are a fun group to work with!!!

My son was the same way. He had fun when he was there, but would have been happy to stay home.

Lizzy - do you feel completley recuperated from the flu now?

After 3 weeks of cold weather and snow everyday, it's supposed to rain today. That's sure to make things messy.

Lizzy - glad you're feeling better

Amy - as I remember, the primary grades were always challenging. Then it finally seemed to click that school wasn't optional.

Yesterday was really mild and melted a lot of snow, but now it's cold and snowy again.

I think in general the transition to school and sitting there all day learning can be difficult. It's a complete lifestyle change from toddler years.

Thanks guys! I am too! Now it's a three day weekend!

Three day weekend for me too, and our kiddos have a four day weekend. We have staff development on Tuesday. I rarely do this and even rarely share about it, but I had a good cry with the other resource teacher today. It's been a stressful week. Although I love my job dearly [you all know this], it very seldom is an easy day. There are a lot of behavioral issues at our campus and we are generally drained by the end of the day. I remain positive and optimistic because it is who I am. Since this job, I understand why the previous resource teacher said that our school is like a behavior school, just without the official title.

It’s good to share things with someone else who understands exactly what you mean, Cece!

I was confused by you guys having a three day weekend cause it’s not in Canada, but then I remembered it must be Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

I had a dinner with most of my family but it was mostly to discuss some serious family drama going on and it’s drained me. I have to process things. . So 2018 is starting off not so great. (But there will be a good family time around summer tho)

Cece, you'e being smart by how you approach politics at school. There are unfortunately politics at every job.

Leanne, I'm sorry your family is having drama. Luckily it is early in 2018; so, your year will turn around I'm sure. Plus you spent NYE ringing in the New Year in Paris.

I am going on a day trip with some friends today. I'll be back tonight.

depending on the child, of course.
Going anywhere special? Have fun!

Cece - it's good you had somebody to discuss things with that totally understands the situation. Glad you were able to let it out.

Leanne - family drama can be quite draining. Good luck with getting things sorted out.

Hannah - we had similar weather here. Didn't get anywhere near that warm, but it certainly melted back the snow. At least for Thursday. The snow came back yesterday.

Amy, Lindsay, Sarah
