Yup! I still talk to my mom daily so it doesn't feel like I don't see her. I probably see her 1-2 times a year though realistically. There is just a really big distance between where she lives and where I live.

Lizzy - it's nice that you can talk to your mom regularly. Long distance rates have really come down over the years. It's not the same as seeing her in person though.

Lindsay - yes, mom is feeling better today

Just came home from a big grocery shop and I forgot to buy milk!

Well, looks like my painful lump on my shoulder is a blocked sweat gland (not infected though) and needs removal via local anesthetic in the doctor office! . I'm wary of being awake while she digs it out of me! And then I'll have some stitches... but if I do get those, doesn't that mean I can't swim in my pool? I'm scheduled for removal on August 23, so I'm nervous about it getting worse before then, hoping it doesn't grow more or burst and also just the experience of being awake for it.

My doctor also offered to remove a mole I have right under my neck right there at the visit but I balked cause I wasn't mentally prepared to get anything sliced off me today

Lindsay - yes, it was frustrating

Leanne - Sounds like it's a good thing that you went to the doctor. If you have stitches, you'll have to keep them dry. You can cover them up with a bandaid, then some plastic and medical tape to hold that on. You probably won't want to swim laps, but you could get wet. Might be a good idea to get the mole removed so you don't have to worry about it later.

Had a really strong earthquake yesterday to the point that I was screaming "EARTHQUAKE!" Damn that was scary. Glad it was only for like 10 seconds. No major damage here thank goodness.
