Leanne, if it makes you feel any better, my dog farts on me all the time. Have you bought any books at the book fair?

Glad you had fun at the concert, Chris.

Speaking of POTO, I watched it twice when it came here back in 2012. Cried both times.

I love Phantom so much too. I've seen it a couple of times in New York.

Leanne, that's so fun to shop around for books with someone else's Monday.

Chris, sorry you don't think you'll want to go again, but atleast you tried something new!

It's good to try something different, and it was a nice excuse for an overnight get away.

Phantom - only seen it once, but it was amazing and I'd go see it again.

It's definitely good to try something new. That's how you expand your interests because you never know when you may find something you like!

Afternoon all! So I went out, in crazy amounts of rain, just to get iced tea... I'm that kind of weird apparently

Rose, I'm also weird cause I will also do that too, but for coffee!

Lindsay, I put a book aside for me to buy tomorrow morning of course it was the "young adult" section and a "horror". Scary fiction is about the only fiction I like, I prefer non fiction books. It's this one, sounds good to me

I haven't seen Phantom of the Opera, but the most amazing production I've seen in NYC was "The Lion King"

At least coffee is warm I got back home and I was freezing and I had my iced tea (I didn't even get to drink it until I came home)...

Kind of bummed out that they've raised the prices so much now all of a sudden... Used to cost me 3,45$ for a tea, hot or cold, taxes and all, now it's like 4$ for hot, 4,50$ for cold, and I don't know for taxes... Definitely gonna be bringing my mug even if the discount isn't that big...

Look at you guys, leaving the house for beverages. I'm such a homebody that I won't even leave the house on my days off for food. I'll just be like "eh...guess I'll eat these stale crackers instead"

Leanne, I've become much pickier in what I'll read. I'm pretty exclusively reading YA Fantasy these days.

I'd go out for food, but would just make coffee or tea at home.

Actually, it takes me forever to go out to buy myself groceries, but if I'm not at work, (like on weekends or days off), I need to go out to get coffee cause I don't have and won't have a coffeemaker in my place as long as I foresee. I buy my own keurig cups for one work location as they had a machine to use there. And buy cups while out. But I don't like food shopping so I'll stall on it til I'm desperate, like Rae!

Rae, I like YA horror cause it's scary but not totally gross or graphic or disturbing as some horror I've read in adult fiction. The closest series I started reading that involved fantasy and horror/scary atmosphere was "The Last Apprentice", if I ever have time for a series, I'll try to re-read and finish that one!

Leanne, that cover is pretty scary. Let me know what you think of it. I don't like horror of any kind after seeing "The Ring" (Japanese version) many years ago. That movie gave me nightmares. Oh maaaaaan, I'd love to see "The Lion King". If the production comes here, I'll watch.

Lizzy, I agree. I recently got into board games which I never tried before cause I thought they were boring. I also tried karting many years ago even though it looks dangerous. I would do it all the time if it wasn't too damn expensive.

Chris, same. One thing that I should always have at home: coffee, tea, wine & bread. It keeps me sane. I live near a mall so it's fine most times but there was one time I came home to an empty ref, I didn't even realize it.

It's already Friday for me so happy weekend everyone!

Good morning all.

I'm not a fan of horror. I'd much rather the author leave gory details to the imagination rather than spell them out in excruciating detail.

*sigh* it's supposed to be spring but I woke up to snow on the ground.

Morning!

I'm not a horror fan either. I get scared easily, but i do enjoy thrillers and suspense.

I am much more likely to go out for food than coffee/tea. I'm pretty good about making mine at home or at work and avoiding going to Starbucks unless I have a gift card.

Leanne, The Lion King is absolutely amazing! Glad you got to see it.

Lindsay, ha we're on the same page about having wine at home as a staple. Board games have definitely been my jam lately too.

I'm not a fan of plain ole horror, but sci-fi horror is one of my favorite genres.

Leanne, I don't think I've read YA horror since the days of RL Stine. But some of the fantasy stuff I read has horror elements to it...or just really scary villains. I have a friend whose favorite movie is Aliens, but yet she had nightmares when she read Lord of the Rings. She said Gollum really freaked her out (even though she had already seen the movies. )
