I get along with people I like or if I feel like they like me. I try to read between the lines of someone I know isn't being nice to me. I don't ever fight or anything cause I don't like conflict or confrontation although when I was a child, I used to get into physical fights sometimes with other girls and my brothers, (it actually surprises me when I find out that some people really never have gotten into fights in their lives even as kids!)
Confession tho, it's hard for me to see things from another's point of view, a tendency of an ASD brain. Chris, the library is in a "transition" period so it's in the middle of being shuffled around in re-organization, but my problem is me not being involved in these decisions so I just walk in blind everyday and have to work being unfamiliar with where to put things now! __________________

Chris, that makes sense. Sometimes it takes being removed from the situation (i.e. coworker leaving) for you to realize how much of an impact negativity has.
Leanne, that's really crappy they aren't involving you in the process and you are't sure what you're walking into on a regular basis. Cece, I can see that! I actually have a strong personality so though I'm really nice, I also can be vocal/intimidating. Quote:

I don't always first see things from another's point of view either, until I have reflected on the situation. But it is more of an inner struggle as I don't show my emotions or feelings in front of others. It also helps when talking it out with my mom or sister. Always a good idea to talk through things with another as they provide you with a perspective you may not have thought of. We don't always think too clearly when we are upset. It's rare for me to get mad or upset though, and it is generally for minor things so it's easier to quickly change my attitude about it.

It's definitely a hard thing to see from someone else's point of view. I agree that talking through things with someone you trust can be helpful.

Hey guys!
I made homemade nachos tonight for dinner for the first time, and they're so good! I'm proud of myself. __________________

Hey, Lizzy, you should take a photo of your culinary accomplishment so I can taste it vicariously!
So I was watching a talk by Temple Grandin while at work, ( she is ASD spectrum) and during it she showed a slide that listed "accommodations in the work environment" and I actually laughed out loud cause it listed two things I am experiencing, hence all my work stress the past month. The two things were Quiet place to work (with two classes at the same time, I've been resorting to using ear plugs because kids can be really, really noisy, I thought working in a library setting would be quiet? No sudden surprises for change in work routine which is exactly what I've been walking into all the time there, So weird to feel I'm not going crazy lately, it really is important! But today was a good day! I'm feeling very productive this week! __________________

Hi everyone, I'm back. I need a lot to catch up on so I'll give myself this weekend to get back on track.
Still busy with work but I already prepared myself for that so that these last few days won't be stressful for me. __________________

Welcome back Lindsay.
Leanne - have you tried talking to your supervisor, not sure if that would be the school principal?, about the situation explaining that you just need to be kept in the loop? Lizzy - how spicy did you make your nachos? Cece & Q __________________

Welcome back, Lindsay!
I haven't done that, Chris, not sure why. I just feel like I should suck it up and just deal with it. If everyone else can deal with it, I should too. I guess I should though, I'm surprised they haven't thought since I worked there for years as the only one in charge they would include me in change plans. Yes! Today is a pro-d day.... seeing old colleagues, drinking all free coffee I'd like, and having fruit, muffins, chips and cheese provided between sessions all day. It's the stupid little things I love about these days find a parking spot is stressful but I go for the abundance of coffee and food (and extras to sneak home in my bag ) __________________

Welcome back, Lindsay!
I like spicy food a lot; so, I'm probably not the best one to ask. The picante and queso were probably medium? I hope everyone has a great Friday! I'm off to work and then volunteering post work. __________________

Welcome back Lindsay!!
Sounds like a great day, Leanne! I'm the same, Lizzy. I love spicy food and I'm always putting on more hot sauce on my food. __________________
