I just did a major posting round on Movies and want to have my Saturday night to myself, so think I'm going to watch a few movies and just chill for the night.

Thanks everyone! But yes, it could be worse. I was even preparing myself in case the doc says he has a life-threatening disease. I mean I'm not expecting the worse but you never know with these check-ups.

I hate going to the doc for me, and I like the vet for my pets even less..
I'm glad it's nothing too serious Lindsay I've been an Insurance Broker for about 8 yrs.. I'm just finishing off the last course to get another certification - exam is Monday afternoon, and I've been kinda trying to cram, but I appear to be suffering from severe "Idontwanna" syndrome
Yeah, Collins, I'm hoping Spring is here to stay. it's nearly the middle of April. it's time!! Doesn't have to be hot but I do love to see the sun

It's best to prepare yourself in situations like that. I said that I would neve have another one after my Labrador died and then I fell in love with my Border Collie lol. How old is your dog?
Well, he came into work drunk, his eyes were red and reeked of alcohol. I suspended him from work. It's gross misconduct so I should have fired him but considering he has had a clear work record and he said that he felt depressed because of family issues, I gave him a final warning. But I tried to find out from him why he drank when he knew he had work later on in the day. Telling me about family issues, he could have been lying to try and wriggle his way out of dismissal but he looked genuinely sad. I don't know

Vicki, I think you handled that situation well. But a lot of people associate alcohol with depression, so maybe you could keep a closer eye on him to see if you actually do see signs of depression? That way, you can suggest he see a mental health specialist if he actually is depressed, and it is not an affect of the alcohol?
