I got a large sack of potatoes for under 3 dollars...and I love me some home made mashed potatoes, home fries, home made french fries, hasbrowns...even some home made Potatoe au gratin

Hello!

Chris, is the snow melting for you? Most of my porch is visible now, before nearly all the chairs were covered and there was a big pile of snow on the table.

Dave - baked or mashed potatoes are my favourites

Bec - the snow is melting, but I've still got lots. At least the driveway is cleared off now. I've still got over a foot of snow on the picnic table, but hubby's decided to dig out the bbq because he fancies hot dogs for supper.

I like boiled potatoes too....but it's almost the same as mashed

I still have a lot of snow left, especially the bits piled up from the plow. It's not attractive with all the muddiness.

My parents don't begin using the grill until either my dad's birthday (April 19th) or Mother's Day (2nd week in May) which is a joint celebration with my sister's birthday on May 7th.

I love potato wedges cooked on the pan, in oil, and with seasonings on it.

Have you though about making some potato dauphinoise? It's delicious just don't add too much garlic

I've given up smoking for the zillionth time. Hoping this time it's for good I haven't had a smoke in 5 days. Go me

Dave - I only boil potatoes to make potato salad in the summer. or sometimes to make home fries.

Bec - I know what you mean. It's easier to accept the snow when it's white. Once it looks all dirty and digusting, I just want to be rid of it.

The rest of my week is going to be hectic. Have to go pick up my son tomorrow afternoon to take him to a doctor's appointment on Thursday, then get him back home so he can attend classes on Friday. Then hubby and I have a weekend getaway planned.
