Leanne - seriously? that makes no sense having the teachers come in. It increases their personal risk of infecting each other.

Dave - some people still need to eat on the go, like truck drivers and emergency personnel

The Ontario government is closing down more businesses effective tonight. Looking at the list of essential services, I'm not sure how many places will actually be forced to close.

UK is in lockdown now. I have about one week of cleaning offices left then I will be home. I will get paid but it will be delayed.

I'm sorry your plans got cancelled, Chris. I didn't have any plans, luckily.

I hope everyone's job situation will be OK eventually.

Julie - it's good that your pay will come in eventually. I hope the delay doesn't cause you any hardship.

Gwen - weird times indeed. Never would have guessed that I'd live through something like this.

I hope everybody is safe and healthy.

a positive attitude goes a long way towards keeping your mood up. I try to remember that I'm safe and comfortable at home, and that's something to be thankful for.

Chris, yeah, makes no sense to me. So I guess I’ll be taking my own Lysol wipes and wiping down surfaces while at work. Also wondering what I’ll be doing since half my job had to do with circulation and you need patrons for that!

It’s still Spring break tho til Monday. I’m just following a zero schedule, it’s allowed cause it’s not a usual time around here and it’s good to stay calm, plus for now I’m fine in my place. I’m used to being and doing things alone at home.

I'm used to my own company too. The only things I need to worry about is staying well and having enough money. I think my family and I will be fine and I hope everyone else will be too.

Leigh - thanks for encouraging people to join ! Hunnibeezzz already posted in the Introduction thread. It's always nice to meet new members.

Leanne - I could see them having you come in for a day or two before the children come back to school in order to do prep work, but that's about it. It's not like you can really get started on end of year organizational tasks at this point.

Julie - is your government offering any sort of benefit to people? Canada is, but the money won't flow through to people until at least the middle of next month.

Yes, our government is offering to pay 80% of people's wages up to £2,550 a month. They are helping businesses and self-employed people too. My boss is self-employed so hopefully he will be able to keep his business. There are all sorts of payments that people can apply for even if they don't fit the criteria for the other payments.

Keep well everyone.

It's terrific that so many governments are acknowledging that their citizens will need financial help to get through this.

Rainy weekend here. Guess that makes it easier to stay at home.
