TFTNT Chris! :flowers:

Happy Easter from my side of the world! http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/ea...y-emoticon.gif

I'll be spending the rest of the day with family but back to work again tomorrow. :sigh:

Chris 04-21-2019 04:52 AM

Happy Easter everybody! :bunny:

Back to work and nearing month end. I'm also getting my passport renewed next week so I have to take time away from work for a personal appearance. However, next month is mid-year bonus so... :pinkie:!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. :)

Ooo, nice to look forward to a bonus, Lindsay! :woot:

Tomorrow in Canada, we get an extra star holiday called Easter Monday so that’s when I’m having dinner with some of my family. My SIL’s huge family have taken over the house tonight so I went to my parent’s condo for quiet compared to there where I’m under them!

I need to renew my passport too. I’m still waiting for my birth certificate to arrive in the mail, it’s taking forever! :impatient:

Hope everyone had a nice Easter Sunday/holiday! :bunny:

I had an Easter lunch with the in-laws today. Long drive there and back, but overall it went well.

Oh so that's kind of like Maundy Thursday for us. That's why it's a 4-day weekend every Easter break. Yours start Friday until Monday?

So yesterday, as I was about to go home, we had a very strong (6.1) earthquake that lasted for about 15 seconds. It was so strong I actually had a headache for a while. It's pretty scary and we were told to evacuate the office building. Good thing I work on the 3rd floor and my office building is only up to 4 floors, at least getting down isn't a burden. The high rise buildings though... Otherwise it's just another day living in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

HappySquared 04-23-2019 02:24 AM

Hello my loves! just dropping by. How’s everyone?

Chris 04-23-2019 05:36 AM

Lindsay - wow, that must have been really scary! I'm glad that you're safe. Nothing of yours was damaged?

Yes, we have Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday here. Government offices, schools and banks are closed on the MOnday, but most other things are open.

 Gay. How have you been? Did you experience the earthquake?

I’m doing good. Pretty busy at work. Saw an old conversation with Lindsay hence I remembered to drop by. I need a new laptop so I could drop by more often.

I was in transit at that time, I didn’t feel it but my mom said it was really strong. There were casualties mostly in the province where the epicenter was. We had another one earlier - 6.3 magnitude. Not felt in Manila but it was somewhere South of the Philippines this time. Scary times.

Hi Gay

Yikes, Lindsay  that video is quite discomforting to see the buildings move like that! You guys do get a lot of earthquakes. I live in a high zone for quakes too, but they haven’t been very strong and usually take place in the evening or night so far. I’ve never had a real earthquake while at work yet.

Hi Gay!!! :back_hug:

Chris, thanks. We're fine, thank goodness. I haven't experienced anything that strong since I was a kid and earthquakes are scary because they can't be predicted. :( Ah okay, so you also had a 4-day weekend like us. Your Easter Monday is the same as our Maundy Thursday. I kind of like Easter Monday since I hate Mondays so a break from that day will suit me.

Leanne, but you have experienced an earthquake before? I also live in a high zone for earthquakes. So if it's a strong one (7 up), oh boy.

Chris 04-24-2019 05:09 AM

I'm glad everybody is okay.

I've experienced a mild earthquake. It was more like a rumble, nothing major. I can't imagine the major shaking you all experience.

Hubby wants to get to a store in the small city near here. So a bit of shopping and a nice lunch are in my plans today.:D

Tina 04-24-2019 08:12 AM

Gay :back_hug: Sissy, haha!!!

Hope everyone is well
