Thanks for the new thread!

I'll bet your Mississippi summers get pretty hot. Do you ever get snow?

We might get snow once every couple of years. We had some last year. And yes, it gets so hot and muggy in the summers.

Overall, I think I can deal with the cold easier than extremely hot weather. Although on a cold, windy, snowy day like this, I tend to forget that.

How was your day?

So far, I’m really glad where I live hasn’t got a snowfall this winter yet. Saves anxiety about driving to and from work in it.

Today was a good day at work for me! And Friday will be fun cause I’ll get to go to the bookstore and buy $650 worth of new childrens’ books!

Spoken like a true Canadian. I'm the opposite. I'm already super cold at temps below 20C. We get temps as high as 42C here during peak summer and those are the times I wish I was anywhere in the world but here.

Leanne - to me it wouldn't be winter without snow. I'd just rather not get very much of it. Picking out the new books would be fun!

Lindsay - I'd melt at 42C. To me, high teens and low 20's are perfect temperatures.

Elle - growing up, we used to go bowling fairly regularly, but I haven't gone in years. There's not a bowling alley in town, and it's not something I'd make an effort to do when we're out of town.

My son had a regular medical appointment in the city today. Lots of blowing snow made for a challenging drive. On the way home, we went past a plow in the ditch. Needless to say that section of road was terrible. I'm glad to be home.

Blowing snow is scary, especially on a highway! I think I don’t like the idea of driving in snow when I used to work in a prison which was out in the boonies at the base of a mountain and I was always scared I’d get caught in the snow at night on the highway far from town or a place to stay, worst scenario would be spending a night in the prison that fortunately didn’t happen though.

Chris - it's kind of my sport. We have a really nice alley about 20 minutes away.

Elle - I remember my mom playing in a league when I was a child.

Leanne - yeah, blowing snow is nasty.

It's nice and sunny today. Cold though. I've got some errands to run.

Cold here too, but not freezing. -11C/12F. Just seeing the sun helps though.

Do you have any plans for the day?
