Yeah, that sometimes happens. It's happened to me before too. Some newbies feel like they need a lot of help, others might enjoy just figuring it all out while they go and jump right in there

I'm sure they all know that you're there for them when they do need you though!

When I was a newbie, I was adopted and it was helpful, but I found out that just reading the FAQ and exploring the site itself was more helpful.

I don't even think there was this whole adoption thing when I started.

Though I could be wrong. We had a Newbies board, but I'd never posted.

I know we had it at the newbies board... But I don't think it was there when I joined

but then again, I didn't go to the newbies board when I first joined, I jumped right in in the conversations on the boards I wanted to post at

This board used to be the Questions & Answers board some years back, and at some point, it was renamed to Info Center and combined with the Newbies and Webmasters board of sorts. And then moved into its own category, instead of the Fan Extras section with the likes of OT and Fan Art. That's all I remember.

So where are all the newbies!?!
