Season two was the season when the show really broke out of its shell and the sex and the city mania amongst fans began. This season is definitely one of the best

Come discuss some of your favourite moments from season two

I went through season 1 so fast anyway, I love how the girls are just there for Carrie after her breakup, especially Miranda after Carrie sees Big for the first time, I actually cried when they were at the diner talking about how hard it is to get over a man who they considered to be the love of their lives. Sometimes, you just need your girlfriends there because they get you and don't just tell you what they think you want to hear.

Oh and poor Samantha wants so desperately to love that man who does not really, shall we say measure up?

Poor James he was good while he lasted! Season two has some great moments for Carrie and the girls, what ep are you on at the moment Jenn?

Season 2 is one of my favourite Maily because of Miranda/Steve, it was different

I loved that storyline of samantha with James

Miranda is so funny, she is so the guy in the group--I love how she claims to not put in any emotions but it seems to me that at times she puts in more time into her relationships. She is the Brian Kinney of the show

awww poor Miranda, she and I share the same fear, dying alone and only having my cats is that irrational? Because I think it's irrational

yeah it's really sad that society puts those standards on women...that it's frowned upon if a single woman buys an apartment but not if a single man does But I loved that she was overfeeding her cat so that the same thing didn't happen to her that happened to the old woman (too disgusting to repeat ) And I love how Carrie offered to be the emergency contact

aww miranda/carrie are such great best friends! I love that cat, fatty is too adorable!

i agree btw its so wrong to have such double standards! Miranda buying that apartment was one of her smartest investments!

These poor girls find the oddest men Honestly, if this is what I have to look forward to...

I felt so bad for Carrie when she was dating that guy with the problem but she had gotten really attached to his family, and trying to break up with his mother was both humorous to me and at the same time sad

I also think that Samantha is a walking contradiction, like she doesn't want to get attached to a guy but she feels hurt when he doesn't show attraction toward her--and that probably doesn't make sense but there it is

and then the finale

the finale is so great though i love season 2! what are your overall comments on s2? better then season one?

I love how Carrie goes to the engagement party and Big walks over to her and when she says the line from the movie and big says he doesn't get it to which she replies that he never did I cried...Actually when he told her that he was engaged my stomach actually lurched as if it was my ex who had been so against commitment had told me that

I think that all of the girls are definitely more rounded characters, We're getting a better look at other things that make the tick...I love Miranda and Steve, I love that Samantha can be hurt by men (It shows she's actually female), I love that Charlotte wants so badly for her fairy tale ending that she often puts unrealistic expectations on the men, but most of all, I love their friendship--how even though they don't agree with everything each other does, they're always there for each other. This is going to sound really lame, but at the party in the Hamptons when Carrie first sees Natasha and Big then goes outside, I actually got teary eyed when Miranda held back Carrie's hair while she puked it was such a small thing, but Miranda just being there was perfect

S2 was just classic SATC, it had some really great episodes and we see all the characters really start to take shape.. where as in S1 I think the writers were just not really sure where they were going with them.

I too, love the scene where Carrie sees Big at the party. The ending is the best, where Miranda is helping Carrie and the fireworks are going off. Big was such a butt for doing that to her.
