And then I realized, twenty something girls are just fabulous until you see one with the a man who broke your heart.- Carrie

Directed by: Darren Star
Written by: Michael Patrick King

Synopsis
Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda head to the Hamptons and Charlotte meets a 26-year old guy. She tells him she's 27 and she starts to act like a girl in her twenties. They sleep together and he gives her crabs.

Samantha fires her 25-year old assistant Nina, who proceeds to steal Samantha's file of business contacts. Samantha gets jealous when Nina plans "The Hamptons Hoe-Down" and people who have never shown up for her parties show up for Nina's. She decides to congratulate her and is happy to discover that Nina needs her help because nothing is going as planned. As revenge, she also sets Nina up with Greg, the guy who gave Charlotte crabs.

Carrie gains a protege and can't believe that at 25 the girl is still a virgin. She goes to a book party and meets a doctor. Later at the hoe-down Carrie runs into Mr. Big, who's back from Paris, with his twenty-something girlfriend whom he met while in France.

The last ten minutes of this episode are so sad that I can't still watch them without feel a sting of pain in my gut.
When Mr.Big appears with Natasha trying to explain the unexplainable, well...

The moment when Carrie sees Big and the disbelief on her face, that scene just kills me and I couldn't believe how casual Big played the whole scenario it was heartbreaking for her! :sigh:

northernsoul 02-15-2010 01:29 PM

The scene with Big is so sad. You can just feel how taken aback Carrie is :(

Det.Logan 02-15-2010 03:18 PM

Probably the worst Big-moment. Now that i know how it ends, I usually end the viewing a little earlier.
