SATC The Movie #6: We're patiently waiting for more news!
 Welcome To The SATC Movie Thread This is a thread to discuss anything about the movie that was released in 2008 and also anything related to the upcoming sequel that should be released in 2010. If you have something that is considered spoilers please remember to put them in a spoiler tag  Sex And The City movie sequel gets green light - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis have signed contracts for a Sex And The City movie sequel, New Line Cinema has confirmed. Writer-director Michael Patrick King has also signed a contract to write the script for the latest installment of a money-spinning franchise that includes a TV series and a book by Candace Bushnell. The first movie followed the highly-successful HBO television series of the same name about the love lives of four single women in New York City. It met with lukewarm reviews upon its US release in May 2008, but won the hearts of movie fans and grossed $US415 million at worldwide box offices. Entertainment website E! Claims of friction on “Sex and the City” set rub wrong way | Gossip Cop Basically the papers say the set is one big cat fight... but it turns out everything's fine and everyone's just working hard. Deary me, how many times do we have to hear this. |

The press seem to think it's impossible for four successful women to work together without them stabbing each other in the back all the time. It's getting so old and boring now. Even if they aren't all best friends, the point is they get down to work and do a great job together.

Hi,
does anyone know if they are shooting the movie right now? I am here for 6 weeks and don't know how to find out when/where exactly they are filming... Thanks |

Chris Noth has lost the bloat.
For a while there, the Sex and the City star was really starting to look like his character's nickname, Mr. Big. That was before The Good Wife star, 55, buckled down and got serious about his weight. Having to go topless in the upcoming SATC movie sequel -- currently shooting -- helped move things along, he said at the party to unveil Audi's latest car, the sleek A8, at the Audi Pavilion in Miami Beach on Monday night. Other celebs in attendance included Lucy Liu, New Moon's Kellan Lutz, Southland's Ben McKenzie and Christina Ricci. Shooting resumes in January, so Noth's hoping to keep it together until then. ``I got to get back in fighting shape,'' said Noth, who has a baby son with fiancée Tara Wilson. ``Thanksgiving and Christmas don't do great things for one's diet.'' Noth was able to shed 15 pounds in a week at a holistic Brazilian resort called The Island Experience on Ilha Grande, about 100 miles south of Rio de Janeiro. ``It was hiking, yoga and kayaking with all vegetarian foods. It was truly amazing,'' he said. ``It's when you have to get back that you have to keep that going.'' Then: ``Oh, no, I sound like a girl. Sorry.'' You're totally right, it's like because they're all women the gossip columns assume there's gonna be problems.
