Yeah ... but like you know what I'm saying. We didn't really meet any of the girls parents ... at all. Not even Miranda's ... her mother died. That was like the only acknowledgement.

But ... that's what I liked about. Because ... it would have seemed forced if they did. I mean these were thirty-something women living in the city. Family wasn't the focus or intention of the show. There friends were "family".

i agree, they were each other's family, there was no need to further extend things out b/c they were the ones who were really there for each other. a couple weeks ago though, i was watching the episode where the russian first calls carrie and she keeps hanging up on him, she lies to him and says it was her sister on the phone and i wondered, wow, does carrie even have a sister?
