Same .. I always thought Sam's cancer SL was a bit controversial.

Definitely and for Sam's character even more so!

As well I think the subject of abortion and how each of the girls felt on the matter that was a risky storyline they didnt have to go there but they did and it was very good episode!

you know, i just rewatched the whole series, i'm on six now, but i can't think of a single controversial thing about the show, at least nothing that i would define by that term. i mean, i know a lot of people took swings at the series for various reasons, but to me it's a celebration of women who are experiencing life and love on their terms. besides, society will find any reason to oppress anyone and anything regardless. from cheating to abortion to interracial relationships, it's all real. it's not like it all doesn't exist beyond the confines of the show so.

Where else in the world would you have liked to have seen the show be based?

hmm

I think it would have been cool to see the show in Europe like London or something, I know we got Paris for a couple of eps! But if the show had have been completely set in another city I would most likely pick London, it would have to be a city with just amazing sights because in SATC New York was like a whole character in the show, at times the whole thing was just an amazing tribute to a fabulous city

There are so many wonderful cities in the world; however, there is no place like New York. When you think of show now it just doesn't seem right anywhere else.

I agree, it has to be in New York. I liked the episodes when they went to other places, but it was never quite right until they were back in NYC!

Such a good question! I've been having a think and I really can't see it anywhere else. New York isn't just a backdrop for SATC like most locations are for TV, it really feels like a living breathing character.
