Totally makes sense, I admit i can be an unnecessary drama queen in relationships, but then hey who likes boring relationships i think id be pretty scared if things were too perfect you know? I think a bit of drama is definitely healthy

I think so, it just makes sense. It kind of reminds me of a House episode ( I'm in season 2 as we speak so sue me) but this little girl's mom was really sick and House asked the girl if her parents fight and she said "No, when 2 people love each other they don't fight" but then later, someone said "There's nothing to fight about if you never talk to each other" and that really makes sense. It's human nature to have disagreements and you get over it by talking it out, it seems like it would be more likely that you're holding everything in, everything that bothers you, when you never have drama in your relationships

Exactly!! (are you becoming house obsessed?) I think its only natural to fight and diagree theres a line obviously but I wouldn't want to be in a relationship where I sit passive and tight lipped, we all have opinions we're entitled to voice them!

okay hmm another topic... ill think of something

I totally am, I love the snarkiness

I've got one:
What constitutes cheating? Is an emotional connection with another person cheating? Or does it have to be physical? This is very interesting to me since it seems like so many people cheat

hmm, this ones a toughie. If I felt a deeper emotional connection with someone other then my boyfriend, it would be weird and if I developed feelings for this person, Id obviously feel as though I was betraying my boyfriend. I guess it depends, but if you can talk to someone more openly then you can with the person you supposedly love, i think thats a problem. I guess it all depends on what the emotional connection means to you, right? I mean you can come across people who you click with just like that, but not find them physically attractive, but when you click with them emotionally I would find that more worrying then being physically attracted. this was a ramble, hope i was somewhat clear!

yeah totally I guess you just click with people in different ways. You would definitely need to ask yourself why you're getting your emotional needs met other places than who you're with. I guess I normally consider a physical attraction less worrisome considering it's usually only single dimension, yet when you connect on another level, there's so much going into said connection. And you can be physically attracted to quite a few people, just walking down the street So I guess I would also say that an emotional attraction could in some ways be worse than physical

ITA we're in total agreement, emotional attraction has more meaning then a physical!

Wow! Cool thread. I love the idea.

For cheating, I agree with what you said about developing a connection that is deep with someone other than your boyfriend, but it's a tricky situation.

it is very tricky, I guess you just have to ask yourself some questions and also talk with whoever you're with as well so see if there's an underlying problem.

New topic: "Does a string of bad dates really equal one good one?" -Carrie

Is everything down to karma? What goes around comes around? thoughts?

Okay, have been thinking about this for a few minutes now and I couldn't completely make up my mind.
From my own experiences and the ones my friends have made I would say one good date doesn't make up for string of bad ones. I think that most girls tend to remember the bad rather than the good, for god knows what reason.
And talking about Karma: I don't really believe in Karma. Because if there was such a thing I must be like the worst person who has ever lived on earth. Or Karma would have to come at me within the next few weeks telling me the bad things that lately happened in my life were just a joke and are going to be erased.
So many bad people, on the other hand, never get what they deserve. So no, I don't think what goes around comes around.
Anybody convince me of the opposite?

deal breakers.. hmmm.. let me think.. for me

I don't like liars. I totally hate hate hate them! If you say you're gonna do something, you should do it. Guys that are too full of themselves are also annoying. I enjoy a bit of self confidence, but too much and the guy just turns obnoxious. And a big deal breaker for me would be a guy that didn't love my dogs (I have 4) like I do. Its a must for me. And also, they can't be couch potatoes 24/7. I like to get out and have a good time.

Do we need drama to make a relationship work?
