I think women steer clear of making any grand gesture first, I think its always left to the man, I don't think I'd ever send flowers or anything like that and if the woman was to declare her love first in some grand gesture and if it's too early then it's definitely considered desperate!

Personally I think classic romance is definitely dead so when ever a man makes a romantic gesture make the most of it!

And it's totally unfair. Women always come off as desperate.

Definitely true! Maybe thats why men don't pull off big gestures anymore they are afraid they'll been seen as desperate!

I personally wouldn't see it as desperate but I do know girls/woman who would be like, "I can do anything, he obviously loves me so much - I mean he wrote me song, blah, blah."
