Maybe Stuart/Stewart, Eric, Mark...those just sound like John too. I can't really think of a good name for him.

Luckily I didn't have the dilemma of naming Big. I always wanted to know what his name was, but I wish they hadn't made it John. I kind of wanted to know his last name too. LOL. Wasn't he supposed to be Italian, based on him going to the Italian restaurant and singing to Carrie?

Not sure. I just think they should have left him as just Big.

Yeah, some things are better left alone. I think Big's name was one of them.

If they would've kept it as Big then people would've though there was no closure to the show 'cause Carrie didn't even know his real name.

I thought she did know his name, but just referred to him as Big. Because he wrote her that check to buy her apartment back, and his name was obviously on the check. I wish the name thing would be a little clearer. I think it would be ridiculous if she knew the man for six years and had no idea what his real name was.
