It's true, while I did like them together, they needed to split so she'd be able to be with Big.

I think another issue with them was that Carrie got together with him too soon after his previous girlfriend. He never had a chance to get over her and then he was opening his heart up to someone else. That could be an emotional overdrive.

Very true, Danielle. It was all a bit too much too soon. I mean, damn, he was still sleeping to that gawdawful machine that his ex gave him to soothe him at bedtime. Claimed he was a troubled sleeper! I think you'll find, bucko, you're just plain troubled, period.

Yeah I remember that, her name was Laura right, it seemed like she was his 'big' love, i wonder if maybe they ended up together

Lauren, I think it was. Because when Carrie first visited his apartment, she had commented on how she liked the paint on his walls. He said nonchalantly "that's Lauren" to which she replied "Ralph Lauren?". But no, his ex was an interior designer...apparently.

Yeah maybe they did wind up together. Lets face it, some poor gal's gotta have him and since theirs was a long term relationship she can obviously put up with his menstrual-like mood swings like no other.

Yeah and when they first met he said he had a girlfriend, it was obvious he needed some more time before entering a relationship

It's one thing to have a fling or be the rebound girl... but Carrie and Berg went into the 'I love you' territory...too much too soon for Jack IMO.

I loved the look on Carrie's face when she first heard the noise machine!

And to add insult to the injury of that blasted machine, he had to go there with the details about his ex buying it on recommendation from a shrink or something - so unnecessary. I laughed when she cut him off like "yeak OK OK, that's enough". If it were me and he wasn't so cute, I'd smother him with the damned thing during his troubled sleep.

Yeah that was sweet

The beginning of their relationship did look promising but there were moment you just knew he wasn't going to cut it. The 'hollywood kiss' thing was adorable

Yeah they were cute in the beginning but I do think that things went more than slightly awry when they had to resort to the Hollywood kiss to make things better whenever they had a little tiff. C'mon guys, how about talking it out? Failing that, maybe they could have chilled out to the sound machine's surf sounds #4 - get the most use out of the thing for the money spent on it. May not be just for troubled sleep, you know
