And he not only agrees to her mini selfish rule but makes sure that she herself follows it when she tries talking to him. He gives her the cutest

response ever.

And then she just sits in his lap and melts into him.

I love how her small frame was always able to curl into his body like that.

I SERIOUSLY HEART THEM.

I love that scene.

It took a lot for her try something like that. And he was just the most perfectest man ever for agreeing to it the way that he did.

I loved that he was always in her face. How are you? Where'd you go? who'd you see? Blah, blah, blah. I want to know everything about you.

I can't believe that bothered her. She wanted him to be more aloof. What I would give to have a man pay attention to me like that. Wanting to hear every part of my boring day, hear me rant, listen to my opinions, and offer support when I need it.

It's why I love them so .. he's so selfless and caring. He listens to her and just wants her to be happy and I love the little VO there ..

I agree wily. He geninuely adored her and wanted to understand her world. In fact his love and devotion to Carrie was so completely and utterly real, that I still cant understand why the writers made her fall back into Big's arms again. It just wasn't credible at all imo.

Courtz. That line should totally be a title. He made her needs
evaporate.

I can't get over how REAL they were together. Even their fights were so naturally hilarious.

Ok, that episode made me fall IN LOVE with them. Like, I seriously can rewatch both of those clips over and over again. That clip made "By Your Side" one of my ultimate favorite songs. It's one of the most subtly romantic scenes I have ever seen. Aidan just simply..understanding. And Carrie going out after like 1 minute, and like you guys said above - melting into him. I just love it.

And I completely agree again - they had such a nautral, real chemistry. They felt like such a real couple.

I think it was the most natural chemistry on the show. There are all different types of chemistry, but I always felt Aidan/Carrie felt ..realish to me.
