I did love their scene. Just as I expected, Sam doesn't like being used as Brooke's excuse. I really think Victoria will manipulate that, if she ends up being up to no good. I adored Sam this episode though, as well as the Victoria/Sam/Jack scene. Too funny.

All the scenes that featured Sam and Brooke together and with others were both funny and full of heart! I adore this Mom/daughter team!!! Sam should be mad that Brooke uses her as an excuse. Sam wants as family almost as much as Brooke does and Julian wanted them to be one!!!

I'm with hot fuss. Though I was fast-forwarding most of the ep, I was excited when the Brooke/Sam scene finally rolled around (they seem to be too few and far between these days), but I didn't much care for it afterwards. The "stupid" comment was harsh, and though I realise the writers need to insert tension now and then, I really wish they'd stop bringing up Julian.
Brooke and Sam already are a family, and I enjoyed seeing Victoria actually remind Sam to be grateful. |

I think it's being brought up was just a way to make sure it's not forgotten that Brooke used Sam as an excuse, because I think it's going to end up being a big problem for them later on, especially if Victoria starts whispering in Sam's ear.
While yes, they are a family, of course Sam is gonna want as close to a traditional family as she can get. I also think she said most of that because she was upset that Brooke had the chance to be with Julian, but didn't go, whereas she doesn't really have the choice to go with Jack. __________________

Basically, if the show is going to have them argue, I'd prefer they argue about something that makes sense. There are far too many holes in this Julian thing. Firstly, it was way too soon for him to be declaring love (as others have noted). Secondly, Sam didn't spend that much time getting to know him. And of course, the show asks us to just forget about the fact that Brooke couldn't have legally taken Sam anywhere.
*deep breath* Sorry for the rant, but I dislike having one of my least favourite parts of the show contaminate my absolute favourite part of it. Anyway, if Sam wants a bigger family, she can have that now, seeing as she's hanging around her "grandmother." Can't wait for the next episode, which looks great. I love that line when Brooke says "she's not yours to lose." It's cute when Brooke talks of Sam in a possessive way. |
