I think because Mark has a terrible memory and leaves so many things unanswered and just loose ends everywhere he expects that the fans have the same memory and forget as well but we don't.

Oh that was unbelievable. Either they deliberately changed the number of letters, in which case it needed to be explained what the extra letters were and where they had come from, or the writers screwed up and once again have been shown up for their lack of knowledge of past seasons. I'm going with the latter.

And then for fans to point out the mistake and be told by Mark that it would be explained only then for there to be absolutely no explanation whatsoever. The show and the writers really are laughable at times.

I think it's more likely to be the writers screwed up too.

And IMO Mark just said that because he was being asked directly and he couldn't admit that a mistake was made, and just hoped it would be forgotten about after!

I get that he was put on the spot so could hardly turn around and say that it was a mistake and they had screwed up, but he shouldn't have said yes it will be explained. He should have said something vague like wait and see. I mean now he just looks like a liar tbh.

Honestly, many of the reasons why I can't watch L/P in this season and in parts of s4 was because of how out of character Mark wrote Peyton...she was all bubbly and happy like Brooke, and the only time Peyton's ever been like that was with Jake. It was just...everything was turned up side down for LP. And just like Brucas4life mentioned, Brooke's baby storyline was thrown out the window for LP and Peyton's career drive was completely ignored because it provided "problems" for the golden couple. It was all ridiculous.

I did hear the season was better written than season 4, though.

Haha, oh no, trust me, I wanted to crawl out of my own skin when Peyton "let him go". First she ruined his relationship with Lindsay and then she ruined and messed up Lindsay so much , the poor girl had gotten crazy, and then she let him go, yeah right. I am always glad though when Hilarie says in interviews that Peyton was such a bitch during season 5. It makes it a bit better

But yes, I agree. In season 4, the sex tape is just one example. Peyton was being all high and mighty bc Brooke slept with Nathan yet she did the same thing to Lucas, while BL were actually together, and NH weren´t, and not even to mention what Lucas meant to Brooke, compared to the fact that NP meant nothing to each other - except sexbuddies. Jeez.

Yeah, that was really stupid. I mean yeah, LP didn´t go anywhere in the last episode, but when they were filming it , Mark knew they wouldn´t be returning and he knew that the fans knew, so he could have at least given LN, BL, LH a scene, where they don´t have to say goodbye, but just a scene, something to wrap up the last 6 years they had together

You wanna know what's funny?! From season one finale, we had important relationships such as LN, LH, etc when Lucas was intend on leaving the town with Keith. And then season two finale shows Brooke's scenes with Lucas, Peyton, others when she was leaving TH. And then season four finale shows ALL the main important relationships shown as LN, LH, BP, BH, etc.

So..why didn't the season six show that?! I honestly don't get it. So if Mark comes up with some pathetic excuse, then I ain't buying for that considering we HAD all those past season finales showing the points, so why he didn't do that this time? I can bet you that he would come up with an excuse.

Did you know that the reason Mark didn't write it because he wrote those stuff back in late March or early April and didn't know about if s7 will be picked up or something?

Okay, first of all, if you DON'T know that your show might be picked up doesn't mean you should leave out important relationships like that because if that show is DONE for s6, then at least give us the FINAL scenes for the last time, and that we can move on. That's the point, but he didn't do that.

As much as I was mad about Lucas and Brooke not having a closure scene I was more mad about Lucas and Nathan not having a final scene together. I mean they're brothers, the whole show started out as a relationship between the two of them. Even if Mark thought this was the last season finale he should have had similar scenes to that of the season 4 finale where everyone was together and Lucas and Nathan had that scene together playing basketball. It pissed me the hell off big, big, BIG time. Oh yeah definitely.

Anyways I was having a mixed feeling because that night I was so giddy about Chuck and Blair, and then to find out that show didn't even show it at all just depressed me that's so for sure so yeah it was so mixed feeling that night. I hate it.

I agree with that. I have never been much of a fan of LH either, but I think that the fans definitely deserved some sort of goobye or some sort of scene between those 2 friends, after Lucas became a father. Especially considering Haley was already a mother, and it would have been nice to see them talk about how far they have come since then, and all that.

And as you say, of course - LN. Nathan got picked up for NBA, and we didn´t even get a scene about him telling Lucas. That was so out of place.

I mean Nathan went to him to tell him he got into NBA, and we are supposed to believe that Whitey was in Tree Hill the whole time, yet noone mentioned him for 2 seasons, and Lucas didn´t even mention him being invited to the LP wedding or the LL wedding for that matter. It´s ridiculous!
