I adore Brooke but, like Sophia, I cringe a little at some of the things that Brooke does. But Brooke has had a good season in many ways. I really think that the "Brooke going broke" storyline would be a LOTTTTTT more effective if her parents would actually appear.
I'm not sure that I totally get why Brooke was drinking at the club like she was. I don't think we saw a good motivation, which leads me to my speculation about the rest of the season. Will her drinking be addressed in any way? More questions: Will she get a job? Will she stop some of her self-destructive ways? Will we find out anything about school/collge for Brooke? Will we see her as a cheerleader at all this season? |

Yeah, totally. Some of the things she does are a little extreme but it's a part of what I love about her. Anyway, I think the storyline of Brooke this season is going a little down hill with her just drinking and stuff. ITA about the parents actually showing. Where were they when Brooke was selling stuff?
What about the cheerleader thing? Is it still on? I'd like to see more school scenes so we actually see what is going on there. __________________

I love Brooke- she's so deep... at first she seemed like any other shallow, spoiled, bitchy, cheerleader, but she's totally not! I love her- she's so sassy and assertive, but underneath there's this real vunerable side. Also she's a great friend! She's one of my fave T.V characters ever. ITA- The 'Going Broke' storyline would actually seem a lot more real- if her parents actually showed up. __________________

I'm actually enjoying the storyline with Brooke losing all her money. I agree that it would be better if they actually showed her parents, but I'm liking it so far. I jut hope that she doesn't continue the way she is or they at least give a good explanation for it.

Brooke's so awesome, she's like the only character i LOVE right now. Everyone else sucks most of the time.
I'm hoping the Brooke/Felix in NH's bed isnt what its been made out to be. I could care less about NH but thats just a bit ick. I hope they're only kissing or something. |

To me, the whole Brooke going broke storyline disproves the writers comments about how much they love Brooke.
She is a sweet, kind person who last season got trampled over by her best friend and her boyfriend. Peyton gets a new love interest, a new best friend, and her ex-boyfriend suddenly worshipping her. Brooke gets... a pregnancy storyline. And now Brooke is going broke? What the hell did she do to deserve this storyline? She never flaunted her money to make others feel bad. She was always very generous (Haley's bachelorette party, for example). And yet now, for some reason, she has to be knocked down a few more pegs. If they writers are going for a Cordelia Chase storyline, they're stupid. Brooke and Cordy are not the same character. __________________
