Knowing Voight, I highly doubt that he would give up on her, ever. He seems to be type of guy who never gives up on people he loves. Look at his son? He never gave up on him even how screwed up he was.

I can see him trying to put some senses in her head.

I agree about Voight. He's not the biggest fan of her mom and he sure doesn't want Erin to become like her.

So relieved that she'll be back but the question is who is going to get booted? Kim got the position because she quit but now she's back, are they gonna have another spot for her or have someone out for her to join?

Kim was replacing Kevin for a bit while he was under investigation. Not Erin. When Voight brought Kevin back in last season's finale, Kim went back on patrol.
So no one is going to get booted.
