| The theme of “I wish you were here” resonated throughout this episode, as the occasion of the Tree Hill Ravens’ first game under the auspices of Lucas and Skills brought back some painful memories for Lucas and Mouth, as each one of them remembered a special person they had lost one horrible day as they gathered in the place where Keith and Jimmy lost their lives. We also got to see emotions laid out raw as Peyton and Lindsey confronted each other and we got to see a side of Brooke that she usually tries to hide. This episode started out in a very moving way as Mouth remembered his friend Jimmy, and Lucas asked Keith to help him, and it’s very obvious that both of these young men are still affected by their loss, especially in the conversation that Lucas and Mouth had. I really liked seeing Lucas’ pep talk to the team, and it was adorable watching Jaime tape up his hand to imitate Quentin, and Jamie looked so adorable and happy in his uniform, as he beamed with pride and joy. I was glad to see Skills encourage Mouth to “find his angle,” but I did think the slow motion scene of the team coming out to write a new chapter in the long and proud history of the Tree Hill Ravens was a bit much. I really didn’t like seeing Peyton and Lindsey go toe to toe with one another, but I really think that Peyton went way too far, and her jealousy of Lindsey really got the better of her as she said some unspeakably malicious things to her, armed with the ammunition that Brooke gave her about Lindsey’s engagement ring, and her remarks about Lindsey’s father were beyond spiteful. Granted, she didn’t know that Lindsey’s father had died, mainly because she never made any attempt to get to know Lindsey, but she showed a propensity for cruelty that’s making it very difficult for me to have any type of sympathy for her character. Lindsey did say some hurtful things to Peyton herself, but Peyton started it all the minute she saw Lindsey, and she rebuffed Lindsey’s attempts to be nice to her, and it was very obvious, like Peyton herself said, that her envy of Lindsey brings out all of her insecurities and she ends up being the worst possible version of herself, because she certainly was the worst possible version of herself in this episode. I was glad that Peyton apologized to Lindsey, but to me, that wasn’t enough, because Lindsey did nothing, and has done nothing, to deserve the treatment that she got from her, and I hope that Peyton grows up and stops treating Lindsey so horribly. I loved seeing Brooke in this episode, and I thought she was adorable when she said that she didn’t want to call Owen because “it violates all the rules of dating etiquette,” and it was hilarious to see her delight when her cell phone battery died and she couldn’t call Owen. More importantly though, we got to see Brooke’s vulnerable side as she tried to defend her mother to everyone, and obviously Mia hit a nerve when she asked Brooke why she puts up with her mother, and I didn’t think it was fair that everyone chimed in to put down Brooke’s mother when the hurt look on Brooke’s face should have made everyone realize that they should back off. I really got to see how much Brooke wants to be loved and accepted by her mother, and this desire really goes to the heart of her character when she said that she wanted her mother to see her and appreciate her and maybe love her, but I think she’s realizing that she’ll never really get that love and acceptance from her mother, but she’s finding it hard to let go of that hope. The one part of the episode that made me really crack up was when Mia was reading the reviews her video got on the Internet, and I really felt that the writers were talking about us Fan Forum posters when Haley said: Do you know what people use the Internet for? Porn and complaining! It’s the easiest thing in the world to tear down somebody’s work. The hard part is actually creating it. Touché Mark! I liked the part where everyone sang, and Bethany Joy has a beautiful voice., and I was glad that Haley told Peyton why she became friends with Lindsey. I enjoyed Nathan and Lucas’ scene together, and it seemed to be prophetic when Nathan said that every time he tries to keep something from Haley, it makes it worse, because I’m sure that we haven’t seen the last of Carrie’s machinations, even though she gave her two week notice. It was fun to see Tim in this episode, and it was hilarious to see Brooke call him a perv in the double entendre scene when they all talked about “eating someone,” and it was bittersweet when he said “I miss you guys. Nobody keeps in touch anymore,” which reflected the sad reality of what happens after high school and people venture forth into the cold cruel world out there. For the most part, I enjoyed this episode, and it’ll be interesting to see how the next episode plays out. __________________ When I think of President Kennedy, I think of what Shakespeare said in Romeo and Juliet: When he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine, That all the world will be in love with night, And pay no worship to the garish sun. | I loved Brooke in this episode. It was cute how excited she got when he batteries died so she wouldn't have to seem pathetic to Owen. I just don't understand the ring bit. Did Brooke lie to Peyton just to try to make her feel better about it, not expecting Peyton to throw it back at Lindsey? __________________ "I'm enjoying right now, just getting to know each other." . | Brooke and Haley seem to be the only ones who have matured since high school. And Peyton... I just can't stand her. Sophia was great though, as always. __________________ icon Join the Angelina Jolie Campaign to make your vote count | |||

I love how their friendship has gone from just a side story to one of the rocks of the show. I can't imagine it without this friendship. __________________ | |||

| The episode was great, it was good to see the mention (albeit small) of BL, season 5 seems to mock them, treat them as the side story to the LP destiny crap, which i cant stand! Jamie is the cutest. Sophia owns my heart, she is incredible. Lindsey grows on me every week, people try to pick out flaws because she doesnt get on with Peyton, this girl just seems to have an amazing heart and a pure love for Lucas, she is not unlike Brooke in that sense. Haley is kinda getting on my nerves this season. BUT..Where is the naley? Brooke just makes the show for me, her amazing loyalty to Peyton is so incredibly beautiful to watch, although i feel Peyton doesnt deserve her support half the time. I love Mia aswell. __________________ the girl in the book . . The other girl.♥ "There are two sides to Brooke Davis..Both of which are amazing" B♥L | |||

| I think this episode has probably been the one that I don´t really feel anything about I found it weird that there were so many scenes with the girls and basically 1 to 2 scenes with Lucas and Nathan. I didn´t like the way the girls were being portrayed while being in the library.Peytons and Lindsays catfight is definitely getting old - more so Peytons than Lindsays actually bc in my opinion Lindsay is just sticking up for herself. Not that it justifies any of their behaviour or what they say to each other but it does always feel like Peyton is the one that always starts it. The dad comment was of course a bit too much - but the comment was said in anger so I don´t really think that Peyton should be judged all that hard - obviously if she knew what happened to Lindsays dad she wouldn´t have said it - so her emotions got the better of her.Just like it happened with Brooke and she made those comments about Peytons moms. The comments are all made during a fury moment where you don´t think rationally but just blurt whatever is on your mind in order to hurt that person. With that being said I was glad to see how Peyton approached Lindsay and apologized for what she said. That was definitely needed and I was glad to see Peyton actually acting like a grown up for a change. Lindsay was great and she made me tear up when she said that she was actually rooting for LP but that her and Lucas now wrote their own chapter and she wouldn´t apologize for that. That was definitely one of Michaela´s best scenes. As for Brooke - I loved the few scenes she had but honestly I didn´t really see what the purpose of her even was in this episode. The same goes with Haley. It´s as if they were only there to stop Peyton/Lindsay from ripping each others head off which I find ridiculous. The pro Victoria speech Brooke gave was heartwrenching though. No matter what a terrible mother Victoria might be, she is Brooke´s mother and even though Victoria doesn´t love her daughter unconditionally, Brooke definitely showed that she loved her mother that way. Her reaction when she had to call Owen and then her battery died was so funny and cute.Sophia is the best at expressions like that ![]() Tim,I am glad he is back.He is just the same he always was It was sad though when he told them noone keeps in touch anymore. Not even him and Nathan who used to be so close ![]() Jaime - absolute That kid is so precious and just lights up the screen.BP - I just love them. This is the most powerfull their relationship has ever been. They know each other so well and have such an amazing chemistry. The way Peyton came up to her with the booze and then put her arms around her was just ![]() __________________ 400 threads of love Icon: B.Davis | |||

| bp was just...total love. that was what made me love this episode. i still feel that lindsey had the lowest blow with the whole "bleeding again on this floor" because she knew how awful that day was for peyton and she threw it back into her face, where peyton had no idea her dad was dead. i mean, they both had their moments, but i was still on peyton's side for it. and as for tim....LOVE! the end. hehe. | |||

| Peyton & Lindsay I have to say, i'm on Peyton's side 100%. I've always been rooting for Peyton & Lucas since 01x00. So yeah, you can imagine how much I don't like Lindsay...When they were about ready to throw down, I was happy because I've been waiting to kick Lindsay's ass for her to shut the hell up already! Peyton's been tryig to avoid Lindsay so she can avoid problems, but all Lindsay does is talk smack about her-and doesn't seem to stop. I think she wanted **** to go down...As for the accidental father comment, I have no sympathy for her; she brought it on herself because she's the one who seems to like starting things. I'm a little surprised Lindsay didn't bother to ask Lucas about the ring. Brooke She went back to high school mode for a moment when she was acting crazy over calling Owen-that was funny. Tim It was interesting to seem him in the eppie. It was funny too. But what he said about nobody keeping in touch is true. It's crazy how close people can be in high school and then when college starts, how far apart they become...Your bestest friend in the world-practically your other half-can wind up becoming so involved in their new life that they seem to forget about the people who were there before... Mia She's hilarious & random. It's nice to see how she is when she gets comfortable with teh people around her [[funny thing: my friend who also watches the show said Mia reminds me of her-I can be o.d. random like here-the question of if we died, who would we eat-would so be a Q i'd come up w/ lol]] Jamie Is just the cutest! I love that little boy. He looked so adorable in his basketball gear. Lucas & Nathan looked hot when they were all walking down the hall ![]() Haley for some odd reason, i thought it was weird she was playin solitaire to pass the time O.o __________________ "Imagine a future moment in your life where all your dreams come true.
