5.05 - "I Forgot To Remember To Forget"

In an episode set three years in the past, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) visits Peyton (Hilarie Burton) in Los Angeles with an offer that will change their relationship forever. Under pressure from Victoria (guest star Daphne Zuniga), Brooke (Sophia Bush) must make a difficult decision about the future of her clothing line. Whitey (guest star Barry Corbin) is concerned when Nathan’s (James Lafferty) temper flares on the night of the college basketball championship. Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) struggles to balance the pressures of school and being a new mom. Lee Norris and Antwon Tanner also star. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Terrence Coli.

BL!!!

i love that brooke is such a good friend because you can tell that she wanted to stay with Lucas "Lucas scott is the one boy i would have lost it for" but in her heart of hearts she can;t betray Peyton. and i love her for that.

I actually liked the leyton breakup scene (not because im a bler) but because it seemed believeable.

I miss jamie! (jackson) haha

over all it was a good episode.

i liked this ep. brooke's a damn good friend, because if lucas was kissing me... gosh, i wouldn't be able to pull away from that! but her love for peyton is so great that she couldn't reunite with lucas, even though her and peyton haven't been in contact in a long time.

was it just me, or did anyone else think total BL love when lucas asked if brooke ever thought what could've been if they took a "different path"?

that kiss was priceless, doesn't matter he was drunk!! I thought the kiss was HOT!! I loved all the BL scenes in this eppie, especially since we haven't had many in s4

I'm gonna start with the best about the whole show...

Brooke Davis This girl has just such a heart t of gold and it's amazing to have followed her from S1. She's always had a heart of gold imo and I am glad people who haven't usually liked her character can even see it now. I've always seen it though.

This year though proves she has matured so much from the girl we first saw in S1, that girl would probably not have had the strenght to resist sleeping with the boy she was obviously in love with but she's grown up and I am so proud to be a fan of this character.

This girl is the definition of selflessness, once again she shows us that she puts the people she love before herself even if she is in love with one of those people. It's really amazing to see a character like this on a TV show and it makes me smile and tear up at the same time.

They have owned my heart from S1.

All of their scenes were magical for me. They can bring the fun, the seriousness, the everything but when they are on screen magic happens with whatever scene they have. It just something about them...

Brooke has always been there for Lucas and I love that. She would drop everything for him and it speaks volume for me as a fan of them. Their relationship reminds me of the kind Brenda/Dylan had after their romantic relationship had ended, well a while after it.... they were always there for each other. So far I love how Luke has been checking up.

I don't think anyone could have not noticed that Brooke very much still had feelings for Luke in the flashback scenes. It showed so much in her face after he had kissed her. The hurt and the sadness and trying to be the best friend to him she could possible be and putting her own romantic feelings for him aside to be able to do that.

It was some very telling lines in the hotel room scene from Brooke. She told him about when they broke up in S4 she tried to mend her broken heart with focusing on her clothing line. And then she tells "you probably won't see me for a while". And it was like it was like her heart broke into a million pieces once again and the whole way to mend it from breaking even more was to throw herself into more work.

That was proven right in the BV scene later. After Brooke had told her the proposal was just a joke Victoria goes "Thank God! you have far too much to lose Brooke" and Brooke almost whispery replies "And Lucas Scott was the one boy I might have lost it for" And then she just says OK to all the plans her mom has for COB, throwing herself into work again. It was done very well imo to show what Brooke really felt.

I have read a lot of people who say it's clear Brooke is now OVER Lucas in present time. But what makes you so sure? Because I think the opposite. I also thought the opposite the entire time from when people stated Brooke broke up with Luke in 401 because she fell out of love or it was clear she wasnt having feelings for Luke after 408 because apparantly BL got closure in that episosode. Brooke can be good at hiding things but they all came spilling out when he kissed her that night 3 years ago.

What I do believe though is that Brooke would never ever go there again as long as she thinks Luke has feelings for Peyton and Peyton has feelings for Luke. She is ALWAYS gonna put their happiness above her own. Even if she is madly in love with Luke now I think she has learned to focus on other things... like her work. I do think there is always a chance for a BL reunion somewhere down the line if LP to get back together but realize it's something missing for them and my hope would be that Luke realize that it's Brooke. The girl who has always been there for him and has put his happiness above his own....if he only knew. I do believe we all to sit through LP reunite whether we like it or not though but if that doesnt work I can see Brooke eventually speaking up or Luke actually going after her if he realize it's her.

I have to give some kudos to them in tonight's episode. Because considering the real life of these two this was just pure amazing work. They just have this undying chemistry together and that will never fade. I was so proud of them tonight for just giving it their all in their scenes tonight even if it probably reminded them about certain things in RL.

Victoria
Best new character ever! She is the villian but such a good one. You kinda still find yourseld loving her even if she is such a cold-hearted bitch. She has one of the best one-liners on the show together with Brooke has always has some hilarious lines in every ep.

I seriously

when Victoria walked in thinking Luke was proposing to Brooke. That was such a priceless moment. And the look on her face and the bag-dropping, awesome! In case I havent said it before they could not find a better actress for the role of Victoria Davis. Daphne brings so much and she has such an amazing chemistry together with Sophia and everyone else she has interacted with so far.

NH They were not in the episode that much but the scenes they did have were really cute. I love the ball/guitar scene with little Jamie.

I havent really been interested watching NH for yrs.. I havent minded them on my screen but I havent really had interest in them either but when they put Jamie in the mix things got more interesting again.

then we have....

LP Too much for them on my screen. But I rather not talk to much about them more than I felt like they had more screen-time then the rest. I do feel like when LP are together they bring out the worst in each other and becomes more selfish in a way. Its not true love for me but I know there are others who see them with different eyes.

brucas are what made that episode

seriously the chemistry they have is to die for.I love the way that they are always there for each other no matter and continue to be each others rock. I also love the fact that brooke was again the one standing next to him when his dreams came true.In series 4 at the basketball game no matter what way its looked at she was still the first one standing next to when his dream came true and now in that episode shes one again there for him when he got his publishing deal

CS were so amazing they really were and as those scenes were so close to reality for them ,I just feel so proud of them as I know it must have been so hard to act that out .Their chemistry forever sets the screen on fire thats never changed no matter what

I also cracked up bad when victora walked in on BL and lucas going down on one knee

that was so funny and her face was priceless

The kiss was

it may have just been a few seconds but they have more chemistry in a split second than others

have in a lifetime

Brooke looked so hurt after the kiss,you could definetly see in that moment that she stil had feelings for him ,when she said "You probably wont see me for a while" as right there it showed that the only way for her heart not to break more was to distance herself from ,and loved the little throw back to series 4 when she says "Lucas Scott is going to change the world some day and he doesnt even know it" which is same thing as he once said to her that she would change the world in the finale on series 4 .

I find it very interesting to actually see yet again the difference between peyton and brooke .Brooke actually says "Lucas scott was the one boy I might have lost it for" which is so telling in many ways considering Peyton doesnt think like that at all from what it seems with the way she spoke to Lucas and what actually ended up with them breaking up i.This is another reason why I think Lp are definetly not right for each other,its all these little things that add up to the fact they just arent right for each other

I also didnt like the Lp scenes,but I too am not gonna say to much about them lol except that episode proved yet again why they dont belong together

a great episode, but i did miss jackson as jamie haha.

i am an lper. for life. they are my otp. but i really enjoyed the bl stuff because brooke is my favorite character and she enjoyed her time with that night. very emotional and very cute. sophia and chad did a great job together.

Alright, so I'll admit that the first time I watched the series (I wasn't an OTH fan at first, but after discovering SB I wanted to see it, so we bought the seasons on DVD and now it's my favorite show ever), I was a devout LP shipper. Don't get me wrong, I didn't have a problem with BL, but I was always pulling for LP and I always knew they'd end up together because of that "connection" Lucas always referred to. But now, I'm watching the series over again and I've come to realize that I'm in love with BL. They are so amazingly cute together, and agree that they bring the best out in each other. The way Brooke grew after being with Luke was awe inspiring...

So after a whole season sin BL, episode 5.05 gave us BL supporters a taste of what they love, and it was nice. Their scenes together could not have been more enjoyable to watch. Their chemistry is undeniable and every time they're on, the screen simply lights up. I definitely think Brooke (along with little Jamie) has made the season so far, what with her emotional turmoil, her fashion line, and her ever-amusing relationship with her mother.

V: "Thank God! you have far too much to lose Brooke."
B: "And Lucas Scott was the one boy I might have lost it for."

My heart broke right along with Brooke's.

As far as I am concerned , this episode was excellent .
I loved how Brooke reacted when Lucas tried to kiss her , she became really responsible and you can notice she's being more mature because for sure she still had feelings for Lucas and she could just let him kiss her and spend the night with him . But she didn't do it because the only reason Lucas wanted her to say is he missed Peyton and was drunk .
I loved when she said " Lucas Scott is gonna change the world someday and I'm sure he doesn't even know it yet "

The CS chemistry was undeniable and amazingly beautiful especially in the engagement scene, and when Brooke gives the ring back to Lucas , you can actually see Sophia and Chad are hurt and started to cry .

Conclusion : Brooke was perfect in this episode
