Maroon5 - the story behind Makes me wonder

So, not many people know but "Makes Me Wonder" is a politically themed song, expesses Adam Levine's feeling towards the U.S goverment. He relized he was living in a disfuctional utophy. The chorous reflects his disconfort with the politics and how horribly wrong the situation really is. But most people find themselves related to the song since it can also be interpreted as Levien's love life.
