I knew Bobby was going to be the President before the first episode aired due to spoilers I read.

Jack is a natural leader, so it's easier to see him as one. Bobby on the other hand is just a child. Still soaking in everything around him. Jack would head first into the darkness but Bobby will follow his brother and learn from Jack's mistakes if he is lucky. Younger siblings learn and take after not only their parents but their older siblings as well. They want to be like them. As seens with Bobby's rebel against Grace, his going out for track, trying to be normal like Jack. Jack is his role model.

So in the future, Bobby isn't the President. Jack & Bobby are, because part of Jack is inside his little brother.

I like that way of looking at it.

In the beginning, I thought it would be Bobby because Jack seemed too obvious. Then Bobby seemed too obvious because it was so un-obvious, if that makes any sense. So I wasn't really sure which way it was going to go. But then I read two magazines that kind of gave it away. One said Courtney was going to be the future first lady and the other one said that she ended up married to Bobby.

I sort of wish they would have had us guess as to who was to become the President. But I agree that it would have been a little hard to do with the future documentary stuff.

The entire point of the show is not WHO will be president, but rather, HOW one grows into a president. Very unique concept.

I think it was good to make Bobby the President b/c since Jack was a natural leader it kind of showed how Bobby grew up and became someone he wasn't originally.

I remember before the show started that the writers were originally going to have the show w/ the audience not knowing ahead of time which brother was going to be President. That seemed interesting to me and they could have made the show a little different that way, but I think it worked out anyway.

I liked that we knew Bobby was going to be president. The show wasn't supposed to be figuring out who was going to be president, it was about how Bobby's life led him to becoming president. So, I don't think knowing he was gonna be president was like, bad, or ruined the show.

I don't either. I just remember originally the writers were going to go w/ the other theme but I think it worked better w/ Bobby becoming the President b/c his character was so soft spoken sometimes. So it was cool to see how he was going to change.
