Never drink and drive. But I don't think Marcus was drunk enough to effect it that much......

Well ... his instinct if sober, would have been to hit the deer. Although, if he was paying attention ... it wouldn't have come as a shock.

When he was drunk, he swerved drove down a hill.

It reminds me of those "this is your brain." ... "this is your brain on drugs" commercials.

They still hit the deer though. What was really freaky was that when the car flew off the road, we didn't hear it drop....there was this eerie silence like the car was still in the air.

They did?

I must have blinked.

Yeah, the eerie silence was ...

Yeah, it happened really fast. Just watched it again and the truck sideswiped the deer, and it landed on the windshield before the truck jumped the embankment. Truly the scariest thing ever.

So, if Marcus just hit the deer head on, it wouldn't have been as bad. Right?

Well, it probably would have been knocked over the van, hitting Randy and/or Missy (like when the body hit Barry first in I Know What You Did...). The damage to the truck would have been bad but I don't think that they would have crashed like they did. Poor Marcus, trying to spare the deer's life...

I just kept thinking today..."Didn't Bobby shoot that deer?" Yeah, I'm corny like that....

Yeah ... it would probably would have been an IKWYDLS.

I can't believe the promo tricked us with the truck ... like the deer wasn't bad enough.

Yeah, that was really cold of them, because the crash would have been way worse if that big tractor-trailer had been involved. The show would seriously have been over.

I watched the end scene again and seeing Jack and Marcus tearing up made my heart hurt.
Marucs: Is she breathing?
Jack: Not yet.

Ugh! He tried so hard....I'm not going to look at CPR training the same way again. I have to get recertified this summer too. Crap.

They were driving a truck. It would simply have splatted the deer. If you're driving a small car though, then hitting a deer head on leaves a MASSIVE impact on your car.

And I would have swerved under such circumstances, slightly drunk or sober. Always avoid the critters, that's me

I don't think hitting the deer or swerving was the problem. I think the main problem was that Missy and Randy were riding in the back without being secure to anything, they were bound to be thrown out of the truck no matter what they did. And you have to be ver lucky to survive being thrown out of a car. Jack, Courtney and Marcus were relatively ok because they were inside and were wearing seat belts. Is like they didn't give Missy any chances. I don't think Marcus was drunk, and he was just distracted, could have happened if he hadn't have anything to drink, IMO, or if it was Jack driving.

I'm still p'off about Missy's death .....

Wow, what an episode! I've never felt more urged to express myself about the series. So I will...

It seems like most of you guys had been spoiled before watching this episode. I was not and I'm SOOOOOO happy about that. If I had known before watching that Missy was the one who was gonna die, the episode would have been only a hundreth as intense as it was not knowing.

I think the writers showed once more how brilliant they are. The stories itself were admittedly weak, but the way they were told was just... WOW. The first scene already had me captured. As I said, I wasn't spoiled and my first thought while watching the scene were:
"Oh my god! They're not killing of Jack, are they?! They CAN NOT do this to me."
Let me tell you, my Eyes did not leave the screen for one second after that start.
Throughout the episode, it came to me, that it was most likely that Missy was the one to die but I was not sure. And after the car crash, when they showed Jack, Courteney and Marcus, I was so relieved when they all started to move. I mean, it was kind of sad seeing Missy's life ended in such tragical ways, but I think it was best for her character. Now, she will be remembered positively and not as a first class high school bitch.

As far as the other stories are concerned, I loved how Bobby told Grace off. Of course, it was rude, but it was great to see his spine for once. It was a big step forward for him. And although i felt sorry for Grace, I think she understood what was going on.

Katie was also great, but as some of you mentioned before: the way they made her find out about Jack and Missy' bonus-night was pretty cheap, storywise. The sad thing is, that I do not really expect to see Katie get over this. I guess she's really hurt, but sooner or later she will have to realise, that it was kind of her fault, telling Jack she wanted to be just make-out-buddies.

I was a little disappointed how Courteney and Marcos turned out. I would have liked to see them get a little closer before the jealousy and selfconsciuosness kicked in.

Okay, that's it for now. See you soon...

Oh, yay, another newbie! Welcome! Lucky, no spoilers. The ep would've killed me if I hadn't been spoiled....I'd have been a wreck.
