I'm glad that Tom apologized for being an idiot. He seemed very sincere, but was definitely being a bit clueless. He's going to get woken up next week, unfortunately...

He's very Tom-like. Loving, sincere, caring, but also selfish, clueless, and a little unfeeling. He's going to need to realize where Grace is coming from. And, tragically, that may happen next week......

I hope the movie on Sunday will help pick my spirits up. This show can be really depressing when it wants to be. Sheesh!

Hey ladies,
As Tom's keeper, I have been concerned with his future at PSU and what's actually going on in that beautiful head of his. Last night we saw a not-so-great side of him, but it was a side that needed to be expressed in order to understand him better.

I'm guessing that Tom did undergrad at PSU, and while I'm sure he worked very hard to get where he is, it's sad to think that he was probably boosted up and given an easier time because of who is parents/grandparents are. Now, we know that to avoid that Tom pretty much changed his name, but it was obviously not enough. His reaction last night to having to start over his thesis kind of showed how sheltered his time at PSU had been. Everyone seems to walk on eggshells around the guy and then talk bad about him behind his back, yet they're the ones that are pushing him forward in academia. I expect Tom to be very angry next week if the subject of his family comes up, which I'm thinking will if not by Grace, but Hennessy who will get punched out for sure.
I don't want to see him leave but I think Tom might consider the option of transferring to another school's grad program, considering he can't get taken seriously at PSU and he'll be heartbroken over the end of him and Grace.

This is all pretty sad to think about but with this show, if it can go wrong, it will. I feel like we haven't been spoiled enough for these last couple of episodes. Curveballs have been thrown at us every week. Next week will be no different.

Tom punching Henessey? *perks ears* Now, now!!!

I pray for Tom to stay. The poor guy. He needs Grace. She's one of the only people who really does bother to take him seriously.

She really was the only one that took him seriously. I was offended FOR Grace when he was acting like she didn't understand how important his work was to him. I was like, "Dude, she knows! Stop yelling at her." I'm glad he apologized, because I thought he was going to let her leave the apartment. He really does need her and he knows it. Before it was more like she needed him, but I'm glad that they found a balance there.

I'm willing to bet we get a tearful Tom scene next week. Came pretty close yesterday. My stomache flipped when he said that he'd risk it all for her too. I wanted to cry. That was one powerful scene.

It was a great scene! I DID cry. I think he just had a moment of selfishness. But, he realized she was about to leave, and quickly stopped it. He was so earnest. I loved him for hugging her.....

I think I'll die....and on my tomb it'll say "Here lies Cat, who loved T/G, and died when the evil writers decided to hurt them every week."
