Thank you, JSRocks and Cat, for such a warm welcome!

I finally posted my intro info on the home page, so I guess I'm official now! I'm truly impressed with your resourcefulness, JSRocks, to hunt down all those facts about the object of our obsession: Hotpants Slattery!

Yes, I got the "K Street" DVD on eBay, and it was great to see John in so many scenes. He is such an amazing actor, and he seems to do it so effortlessly. His characters are always so believable. And he seems as comfortable with comedy as drama. Have you seen him guest star in "Will & Grace" and "SaTC"?

I guess my favorite JS performances were in "Brooke Ellison," "SaTC" and, of course, "Jack and Bobby." I'm looking forward to seeing him in a TV movie he made several years ago called "A Death in the Family," which comes out on DVD in June. He's got brown hair in that one!

I got to meet Howard Dean at OSU (that's where I go) and I had him sign my K Street dvd. He laughed when I handed it to him! I was like, "OH MY GOD HE MET JOHN SLATTERY!!!" (I was thinking that to myself) But I was also excited to meet him anyways.

Oh yeah I've definitely seen John on W&G and SATC. A long time ago, I went out and bought the 3rd season of SATC just to see John in the first 2 episodes of that season. It was worth it though b/c I love that show to begin with and John was in it. What can be wrong with that????

OMG "A Death in The Family" is coming out on DVD??? I loved him in that, but I was so distraught his character died that I stopped watching the rest of the movie after that point. Talk about being a little into it!!

The Brooke Ellison Story was excellent. 'nuff said

Cat you need to see "A Death in the Family" b/c Hotpants sings in it!!!!!!!!

I'm not surprised to hear that he sings well, because I *love* his speaking voice (sexy, no?). In fact (ok, here's where my obsession comes through) I even bought a couple of audiotapes just to hear him as a reader! (I can almost justify it because my car only has a cassette player.)

Hi Andie! Nice to meet you!!

The audiotapes I have are "The Jury" by Steve Martini, "The Job" by Douglas Kennedy, and "December 6" by Martin Cruz Smith -- John speaks with a Japanese accent in parts of that one -- very sweet! Sometimes when I have trouble falling asleep I'll put one of those tapes in, and his soothing voice just lulls me to sleep. You can find them pretty cheap on eBay usually.

I can't believe I just admitted that I have audiotapes.

Hello again, my wonderful new John-John friends!
Oh, BTW, y'all can call me by my first name (Meryl).

Nope, haven't seen "Red Meat" yet. They don't seem to have it at Blockbuster, but I guess if he's in a lot of scenes, it might be worth buying it somewhere. Do you recommend it, JSRocks? (Probably a silly question...)

As for my position on his facial hair ... no question there: I like the way his looks without it much better. But I tend to feel that way with most guys -- except in the case of Orlando Bloom, who I think looks gorgeous with his new beard and mustache!

On that subject, what other actors do you guys like? My favorite for years has been George Clooney. I love his looks and sense of humor. (Sorry if this is considered off-topic. ). But ahhh, Georgie....

Red Meat? Oh yeah I do recommend it. It's really hard to find unless you get it off the internet. Luckily though I found the dvd in a little video store on my campus.

And as for facial hair, I love it on or off of him!!

I really like Sean Penn. He is such a wonderful actor and brings so much to everything he's in. The Interpreter was just amazing I thought. Oh and I've always been a fan of Mr. Clooney.
