the Off-Topic Thread: Sometimes we all need a break.

While we all like or are anticipating Jack & Bobby. Of course everyone has other shows that they are fans of. I myself like many shows. Or have liked many shows. I am also looking forward to seeing The Mountain.

Tomorrow I am going to a cook-out at my Grandma's house. Which is both a good and bad thing. While I love cook-outs, I hope it doesn't stop me from watching either the Law & Order marathon or the West Wing marathon.

How neat. I've never really been to a cook out. Although we've barbecued a couple of times it's soo not the same thing . I hope you don't miss your marathons, but I'm sure you've probably seen most of the episodes Maybe you can record it for the time when you're at your grandma's house

Well, what do you know? So am I!

Oooh! Cook-outs are fun. I've really only been to one, but that's not the point. I hope you don't miss your marathons, but like Amber said, you could tape them. That's what I'd do.

Yeah, I hate when that happens. You think you two are so well connected to find out that they sometimes don't know the important things about you. It makes me even more annoyed when it happens with family.

Interesting. I don't have any close friends. I don't even have a lot of non-close friends, either. Too many entanglements I know what you mean, though. Just like you said, Michael, it's annoying when it's your own family. Kinda how like, with my birthday or christmas, I get really annoyed when my mom or sister or dad ask me what I want. Then I tell them it should be a surprise and they should pick it out. It should be more personal, cuz we have lived under the same roof for nearly 16 years. Go figure. People.

Amber - Yes, I've been feeling like changing it to a Quantum Leap avatar. The guy in my avatar played Al in the show. I've been rewatching re-runs on the sci-fi channel. Of course nothing can beat my personal fav. avatar. .

That's Cade Foster (Sebastian Spence) from my old show First Wave. In the show the Gua called him Subject 117. Which is why my original FF name was Subjectx117. Besides Jack & Bobby tomorrow, I'll be also watching Charmed and the Surreal Life on VH1.

Besides Jack and Bobby, tomorrow I plan on maybe watching Charmed. I used to love that show, I was like obsessed with it, but I don't know. I think it used to be better before they killed off Prue.

IA with you Rach. Charmed used to be such a good show, and now it's just...not. I didn't realize how much I loved Prue until she was gone, and Cole, and then Chris. The storylines for Charmed right now are just ridiculous. With the exception of the Chris storyline. I'll watch the season premiere, but I doubt I'll be watching the show through out the season.

I'm also really looking foward to watching The Mountain.

I'm glad you'll be watching The Mountain, also, Liliya. I know a lot of people, including myself are looking forward to it. I'm sure it won't disappoint

Michael, I never watched the other Surreal Life seasons on the WB, cuz I didn't like the people, but I think VH1 did an excellent job this season. Although there are some people I don't like this season, I think they're interesting to put together. I'm glad to see Dave on something, and I never used to like Ryan Starr much but then again, I'd never seen her on anything, and after seeing her on last weeks show she seems really sweet. And lmao at Jordan being all "yeah, they're hot, i'd like to get them in a hot tub" in reference to MK&A, and saying it to Dave. And then Jordan put all those boxes up in entrance to his room, and stole Ryan's room.... it was so funny. He got off on the wrong foot. lol.

Yeah, I know what y'all are saying. Charmed has gotten worse. I loved it when Prue was on the show, it was never lacking quality. Afterwards, it was still saved with Cole being their, but after he was gone it's been sucking. They've made it all about skimpy outfits and sex/boyfriend storylines. It's like, hmmm, have they even fought that many demons recently? geezers. Chris was a great addition, though. I really enjoyed having him on the show. And hopefully, Charisma Carpenter will make this year tolerable. I her. I doubt Nick Lachey will make the show better, though. But I guess we'll see.

So, yeah, I will be watching Charmed and The Surreal Life tonight also. I have to do my homework sometime before then, though. haha.

I didn't know that Charisma was going to be on Charmed? That's awesome, I love her. I could care less about Nick Lachey.

I never watched the Surreal Life, and I doubt I ever will. I hate reality shows with a passion. They're all the same, and most of them ( if not all) just plain suck.

Yep! I found out from buffy.nu. If you want to know more about her role you should head over to the Charisma Carpenter board, and I think the Charmed board might also have a thread about it.

Yeah, I don't really care about Nick being on it, either. Because what's he gonna do? Provide more boyfriend/sex stuff and more opportunities for Alyssa to dress--less-- as I mentioned before that that is all they ever seem to do, now. So I don't see how he'll add to the quality of the show. They might get an itty bitty bit of a good story line out of him though. It depends on if the writers are smart enough to have some consequences for the gals because of whatever relationship he has w/Phoebe. And I don't mean consquences like they usually have, oh, Phoebe, he's not right for you, you're going to fast, oh, you dumped him? okay. *hug*. yeah. when they do that it really makes me mad. Maybe with him on it Phoebe can discover more about herself, or like, almost lose her job or something. Something that could make his guest starring not totally pointless

There are some reality shows I like. Such as Outback Jack. Then there are others that I don't like but a particular season might be good, like this season's Surreal Life. I don't like those talent shows like American Idol, and I can't say I like those silly Bachelor shows, but I do like ones that are different. I liked Survivor the 1st season, but none after that. And My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance was hilarious Some can be entertaining. Depends on what it's up against. Cuz with shows like For Love or Money that were up against Monday night WB reruns, yeah, I picked FLoM. Lol.

I love OT threads so much fun

I've been watching the Surreal Life on VH1, I like it so far, I can't wait to see the episode where they go to some haunted place. But I thought the episodes were going to last an hour I was surprised it only lasts 30 minutes since the last Surreal Life on the WB was an hour. Oh well.

Man, this TV Fall Season there are so many new shows to see, I just can't keep up I'm really looking forward to seeing Lost
