i wouldn't know. After season 4 I quit cold turkey. Made myself put all my videos and DVDs away for a whole year. No watching whatsoever so that I wouldn't even be tempted to watch, so that I got it fully into my brain that it was over. I was very involved in that fandom (most of my fanfic is west wing) so it was really hard, but I've never regretted it. Not once.

Sometimes I think it's good to tape shows you really like. In the case of Roswell (sorry to keep bringing up this cursed show), so many of the *great* songs were changed when the DVDs came out.

I tape shows I really love b/c I have to obsessively watch them. I borrow DVDs for shows I want to give a try (like 24).

When I taped DC, I used to watch the hell out of my tapes, before the week was over. Bad obsession. It only lasted til S2 ended. Then ... it faded. I still taped them ... but wasn't using them. Then I realized I had soo many tapes, no order, no labels. It was insane.

I had that experience with DC as well. I watched the first season obsessively. I watched episodes OVER and OVER again. By S3, I wasn't really watching but kept telling myself I would get to them eventually. So I had all these episodes scattered.

Yeah ... I totally threw all those tapes out.

And then ... I ended up taping them all on TBS when it was first added, and they were doing 4 a day. Now, I have to get rid of all those. But, they are organized/labeled. I barely watched them. I think I just felt I needed them ... and by then only the S1 DVD was out ... I think.
