Jack & Bobby - A New Frontier: Episode Discussion (02/02/05)

Uh oh. Bobby (Logan Lerman) becomes suspicious of Grace's (Christine Lahti) relationship with Tom (Bradley Cooper) after Tom coincidentally shows up during a camping trip. While Jack (Matt Long) and Missy's (Keri Lynn Pratt) relationship seems to be dying a slow death, Courtney's dating life is picking up steam with college freshman Nate (Mike Erwin). The future reveals that President McCallister, despite risks involved, supports space travel to the planet Mars.
John Slattery and Edwin Hodge also star. David Petrarca directed the episode written by Maggie Friedman.

I didn't even remember today was GH day. Wow and an all new episode of J&B.

I'm also excited for Smallville tonight. I know that the T/G thread will be buzzing... as always.

Tonights episode was good as usual. No future scenes...

Wow. I thought they would pull something in at the end. Perhaps like saying that Jack was married to the new girl in the future. I still don't know her name. Every time a new name I just forget it.

I'm glad that Marcus is still being involved with things. I wish we had more episodes with about him. We need more to his character.

Nate and Courtney were great tonight. I am now shipping them and started a thread.

Next week looks like the will move their relationship forward. It doesn't seem like Courtney though. I mean she kind of did just meet the guy..

Missy and Jack broke up. I'm a little sad about it but saw it coming. Neither of them were really connected. She was too happy and he was too sad... It seemed that they were just convinent for each other and almost safe in a way. I will miss their time together but I'm glad Missy is still a part of the show. they could have just written her off but they didn't.

the new girl. She was on fire.. and hot.

I've seen the actress before in other things but I'm not sure who she is. I hope someone can fill me in. I hope that maybe something happens between her and Jack.

Bobby was on fire tonight against Tom. Let's hit it.

I knew Grace wouldn't say that she loved him. That something on a deeper level and something she needs to tell Tom before Bobby. Next week Jack is let on in their affair. Ok, not really an affiar but.. you know...

Well, I'm off for now. I have some things I need to take care of but I should be back online sometime later.

I was pretty happy with this ep, but strangely sad about the lack of future interviews. Didn't they say there would be some?

As for the T/G......WOW! I loved all their scenes, except when Bobby was being a brat. But I understand where he was coming from. It can't be easy for him. I agree that Grace is going to need to tell Tom how she feels about him before Bobby. And from what I can see, she cares a lot.........

As for the other charcters, I really like Nate. Not really N/C, they're lacking something for me, but I like Nate in general. He's cool.

As for next week, please let Jack not be a jerk to Tom or Grace. Please........

I loved this episode. My favorite part was definetely the last scene with jack and bobby on the roof. Jack taking a step to understanding bobby was cool...ahh, i love the brother scenes.

Nate is cool, him and courtney are ok, I dont mind them.

Missy...blah.

I liked the girl, kate was her name i think, in the doctors office...she reminds me of me. I think jack is finally learning that high school is not life, has a new perspective of it.

I think Jack is going to be way worse about T/G than Bobby was. I mean, Grace wasn't very sympathetic about his breakup. Not that I thought she would be, but that's definitely going to come up next week.

I thought I had missed the future aspect segment when I missed the teaser. That's so weird that it wasn't in there considering all that we spoiled folk heard about earlier. I was actually looking forward to it.

Katie is awesome and I think I've seen her somewhere else too...I have no idea where either. The N/C stuff was cute, but I'm pretty shocked about next week. What's up, Courtney?

The J/M breakup was sadder than I thought it would be. I guess it had to happen though.

I guess I'll have more to say once everyone else has posted.

The J/M breakup was interesting. I really rarely care about anything other than my beloved T/G, but it was weirdly sad, watching them just end it. It's like one of those relationships where there's no real love, but so much effort was put in. Although, I'll admit, I guiltily cracked up when Grace went "Hurrah!" I mean, she's Grace. I think everything she says is funny! *Glances around indignantly*

Still upset about no futures....

And still basking in Tom and Grace!!!!! Break out the vodka, I'm going to town!!!!!!!

I loved tonight's episode. I'm very happy that Jack and Missy broke up. They just never really seemed right for each other. I didn't like the way Missy was acting towards Jack tonight, what it looked like to me was that she was only going out with him because he was popular. I love Katie! She is really awesome, and I was happy to see her in next week's episode.

I'm starting to like Nate and Courtney, they're different and they do have chemistry together. I think they are going to be fun to watch.

Tom and Grace were great tonight. I'm glad that Grace told Bobby about her and Tom, I really do love their relationship. When Grace isn't trying to push Bobby, those two have a really good relationship. Look's like nest week is going to be another great episode.

Bobby and Grace have always been close, and I can see Tom maybe irritating Bobby by entering onto his territory. Bobby's basically Grace's best friend, and now he has to deal with competition for #1 in her heart. It won't be easy for him.

As for Katie, she seemed a tiny bit stuck up. But I hope I'll get to like her.

Well Mike, she was in both Everwood (the girl who got the abortion) and on Nip/Tuck (Matt's lesbian girlfriend), which I think answers your question.
