She was in "Drive Me Crazy" and "America's Sweethearts"?? I'll have to go back and watch for her - weird!

I think Missy's a great character and I like that the audience is starting to know more about her:)

beautifulgarbage 10-18-2004 09:15 PM

I was just gonna start a thread for her. Great minds, huh, Subject.

I adore Missy. She's just so adorable and fun. She gives me a break from all the sometimes draining political/emotional stuff on the show.

Philosophist 10-19-2004 03:08 AM

Ehh... I like the actress a lot, but I'm still iffy about Missy. I think that I like her character, just not with Jack...

I don't remember her from America's Sweethearts... hmm...

She played the internet date of Dave in Drive me Crazy. In America's Sweethearts she was the director's daughter at the movie showing toward the end of the episode. :) Also check out The Smokers. It's a good movie. I also like Cruel Intentions 2. It wasn't a good prequel but as a guy I still enjoyed it.

What about them? :look: The only great mind I can see is yours Rachel. :)

I was watching the show for the 1st time the other night and I know I had seen her before. She was in "Drive me crazy". I'm so happy I came to this thread because it was driving me crazy

I love Missy...she's a good addition to the show...usually characters like her are annoying, but I like her for some reason...hehe

I know. Characters who are always full of pep and always smiling are really annoying. Missy does do those things but we have been seeing so much more of her. She puts on a happy front and hides the real emotions underneath. Which a lot of teenagers do. Every character on this show is very realistic. They start with what you think is the basic sterotype and then show us the real person. I think that almost everyone puts on a front at times to protect themselves. I know that for me, I'm much more open online then I am in "real life". :look:

Same here - I think, for me, it's because I'm more "anonymous". I say things online that I probably wouldn't even tell some of my closest friends. I feel more comfortable online at times, but then on the flip-side, I feel more comfortable in reality - it's nice to have two ways to communicate with others:)

I agree - you think a character will act one way, but then the character is revealed and they're completely different than what you imagined them to be.

DreamOn777 10-20-2004 06:57 PM

I agree with you guys completely...it would be easy to make Missy just the typical blonde airhead who's standing the way of a main couple, but they really made her a character! I love that!

crazyforcmm 10-20-2004 07:30 PM

Sarah-Exactly! I love how they've made her more "real" and that you see her more than a blonde airhead - you see her as a person, a friend, a daughter, etc. I'm very interested in seeing how Missy will develop as a character:)

~*Magical*~ 10-23-2004 01:04 AM

I actually liked Missy a lot more in this last episode. I agree its great that they are making her a more round character now. And I'm actually beginning to like Missy and Jack together!

I was wondering where I had seen Kerri before. Now I realize it was from Joan of Arcadia last year!

crazyforcmm 10-24-2004 01:47 AM

~*Magical*~ - Hi:wave: I agree - I like that Missy's become a more complete character. I like Missy and Jack, too:)

Philosophist 10-24-2004 06:32 AM

I went to see Raise Your Voice today and during the previews I saw that Kerri was in "Fat Albert." So, yeah, just sharing the news that it'll be out soon :)

I like Missy okay, but I'm really starting to like her friendship w/Courtney. Still not into Jack/Missy :(

Subject 10-24-2004 06:49 AM

I want to see Missy's cheerful personality right now. No new J&B tonight. :look: I'm happy about the move but still....

I wonder how they will expand on the relationship with Courtney and Missy. Missy will probably find out about Jack & Courtney...I know that she kind of expected it but with Jack telling her that nothing was going on and they were just friends it's going to crush her if she ever finds out. :(
